I don’t know that Kiffin “fixed” Crompton. He started rolling him out and took away half his decisions. More like mitigated.

Incorrect terminoligy on my part. Smart coaching minimzies liabilites and maximizes strengths. JG could not see the whole field, but cut the field in half and baddabing badda boom. Not ideal but at that point I said to myself,,,that Lane knows what he is doing with with what he has to work with.

We just ignoring win/loss records now? SMH
Now?
No. Thats not new.
2 of the 4 last coaches hired had losing records when we hired them. One of the other 2 had no record at all.

So, no. Ignoring previous win/loss records isn't a new idea.

The next question that is yet to be determined.
How is the list affected when or if the AA hands down stiff penalties for the next guy to deal with? We haven't had that issue with the last 4 hires?

Buckle up.

I supported the guy until the Fulmer/Pruitt overthrow at all costs stunt. Lost me with that one. I can’t respect snitching when he bragged about being part of it on this board and how things were different with them in charge and then changes tune when he no longer likes the guys in charge. I also find it convenient The rumored troubled recruitments were ones he was so involved in at the time

You realize Tee interviewed for the Raiders job, right?

I just know Mayo was a hot name on a lot of NFL boards during this past coaching carousel. I’m not advocating him as college is so much different than the NFL. Recruiting is everything.

I just think Mayo is a really good coach and I don’t think Tee can coach worth a sh##. I don’t think they should be in the same conversation.

Imagine being Harrison Bailey and going from Pruitt's offense to Kiffin's. Its not even a debate.

Imagine being Lane Kiffin and going from Matt Corral to Kaidon Salter.

I’m sure Kiffin is salivating at the thought of coaching a QB like Salter.

But, we care more about how Pat Forde and Stewart Mandel talk about our program so we’ll hire a dud in the hopes of them writing flowery columns about us.

@Kingston Vol Where you at KV? Quiet today, what’s your thoughts?
It happened the way we thought it would happen. He got too cocky and let his “recruiters” go wild.

I didn’t think Fulmer would be out immediately, but my guess is he didn’t want to do the job once it was clear he wasn’t in charge.

Fascinated by the AD search. Gilbert seems like the leader in the clubhouse, with Mark Ingram maybe second. No way to know how the coaching search goes without knowing who is in that spot.

I don’t share the optimism others do that we’re going to get a coach everyone can agree with. I think this job is very damaged goods. Some of the lists on here crack me up.
