Here's what I think, Tennessee knew about this stuff back in the summer. Someone ( a coach ) expressed interest in Tennessee through the back channels ( Freeze, Kiffin who knows ? ). Tennessee knew it couldn't buyout Pruitt and the new coach so it had to go gangster on Pruitt. I think Tennessee is looking to get out of this without paying and will have a new coach in place almost immediately

I'd love to think people in our AD office had that much forethought.

That was absolutely the worst team in UT history...until next year. It is going to be ugly. This has gone on too long, and now there is no fixing it IMO.

No offense but it is pretty open knowledge that Fulmer wants to keep Pruitt while everyone else in the world knows a change is needed. I thank him for his service and his time as our coach, but he is hurting our program right now by backing Pruitt. But Phil will always be respected by this fanbase no matter when Pruitt is fired.

It's getting to the point to where this has drug out for so long, and JP has been sh*t on so much, I'm about to have a change of heart and say F it, bring him back.. i'm over this crap..
If for some reason he comes back, I hope he wins 10-11 games next year and gives Phil and this admin the double birds as he walks out the door...

Yeah I kinda feel bad for pruitt in that regard. Also I thought he was worth firing for the right guy, but all of this is definitely not worth it. But we kinda have no choice now. It’s been handled the worst way possible... per usual
