Here's what I think, Tennessee knew about this stuff back in the summer. Someone ( a coach ) expressed interest in Tennessee through the back channels ( Freeze, Kiffin who knows ? ). Tennessee knew it couldn't buyout Pruitt and the new coach so it had to go gangster on Pruitt. I think Tennessee is looking to get out of this without paying and will have a new coach in place almost immediately

I'd love to think people in our AD office had that much forethought.

fisher would honesty make a good GM. He drafted a lot of good players at both stops.
