I still can’t get over a certain someone trying to fight, then admitting to being a soccer player. Bet they hit harder than you in SERE.

Isn’t hard to recruit at Tennessee. If you’re a halfway decent recruiter you can pull a top 15 class here rather easily.
Tennessee does have things going for it. I just figured that the disaster of the last decade plus would have had more of a negative effect that it has.

I know this is terrible as a fan to say, but I have no earthly idea why any top recruit would want to come here right now. It is a complete mess from top to bottom, and the only thing that could make it worse (NCAA trouble) could be on its way.

It’s going to be 10x harder for Pruitt to recruit elite prospects (not even mentioning trying to convince quality assistants to join him) if he stays vs a new head coach/staff even if we had a bowl ban/scholly reductions.

This has GOT to be a big concern for those making the decisions on this clown show moving forward... How can anyone who knows even just a bit about SEC football not think this will be the biggest issue? JP's lost his selling point and has nothing to offer... never mind any good assistant at this point unless they just want a raise and know going into it they will be looking for another job in a year or so... THIS JUST CANT WORK AND BE SUCCESSFUL MOVING FOWARD AT THIS POINT WITH JP...

How do you like Napier?
I like him. I have some reservations just from his time spent with saban but more importantly he’s been a successful OC, got a good look at Clemson before their rise, and he’s shown to be a successful head coach. His win over Iowa state won me over a lot for him. It’s hard enough to beat a better program.... much less a better program with a great coach.

I used to lean more Chadwell over Napier but the more i watch tape of Napier the more i think i prefer him because i think he is less of a gamble.

Soccer ability and fighting ability have no correlation positive or negative. Boom. Argument ended.

Now getting back to cutting our wrists over UT football.

yeah Napier over Chadwell, all day for me. he's made the progressive steps that a lot of guys haven't....they're all a risk to some degree, i would say Napier's risk factor is lower than some of the others. if nothing else, he clearly has a vision for what he wants and how to do it....and that's at least a really good place to start....especially if you're going to take over a program like this, right now.

the question...would we be patient enough to go thru that....again....? the easy answer is we don't have a choice. but we didn't have a choice 3 years ago either, yet here we are.

He understands successful recruiting in the SEC. In that sense, it isn't a risky hire at all. That is the only thing we knew for sure about Pruitt when we hired him. The successful HC ability he has shown is just icing on the cake by comparison.
