So it’s all Fulmer's fault even though we had the same problems under different ADs and HCs. If only our problems were so simple and yet people will tell you with a straight face that (insert name of any AD or HC since Dickey retired) is to blame and that if only we’d get rid of (insert AD boogeyman, president or coach) everything would be fine.

Pruitt needs to go: full stop. The results are untenable even with mitigating circumstances. However UT has to establish a working AD whether that is under Fulmer (who is a temporary solution at best) or someone else and that means our root issues (warring factions, over involved boosters who give money only in support of their personal whims or to get their name on something, constant bickering and infighting and dysfunctional power blocs) have to be resolved as well.

The root of our problems comes from the fact that our boosters and power players would rather have a dysfunctional athletic dept. that they can manipulate for personal reasons over a functional one where they have less personal power. We have no team players but a ton of self-indulgent and self-interested assholes.

What does everyone think the overall reaction will be when/if nothing happens this week? Can this thing get even more volatile? Will we, as a fan base, continue the tradition of getting jazzed up over assistant coach hires, even if most of us have never heard of em? I feel like the university is about to slap us in the face and I think we may take it and hand them our money because we love the program so much.

I don’t see Pruitt getting any good assistants, if he’s retained. Just a group of one year stopgaps and extra dudes we have to buy out.
This may be the biggest tell that he is going to get canned. He hasn't gotten the go ahead to replace staff and we aren't 100% on who is leaving or staying.

I think he is gone.

He left out the part where he as a leader has failed to lead his teammates away from doing the things he’s throwing them under the bus for.

BS for him to say all these things and not mention his own failures to lead
If you are going to hold JJ Watt accountable, please explain:
a.) How did he fail them? Be more specific. Did he not set the example? Has he had this conversation with them 100 times and it hasn’t worked, therefore he took it to the media?
b.) Why is it his job to motivate 52 other athletes, and is this not a form of motivation?
c.) Why did you not mention the coaches failure first? Or the GM? Or the owner? Since it is all their team much more than JJ’s.
d.) Post it on Twitter and tag him so he will realize his failures. How else will he know how to improve?

I also find it odd that we aren't getting any info on possible transfers unless I have missed it. Most of the latest threads just mention the player is in the portal and they are a position of need.

Shrout didn't take long to get snagged up by Colorado.

I feel this is the week we will find out one way or another.

I feel there will be lots of disappointed people in this thread.

It's freezing outside.

Of that’s very easy

Successful leaders of organizations set a culture where the followers get in line and align themselves with what’s acceptable and away from what’s not

Now sure there’s always going to be a bad apple or two with groups this large but his message seems to suggesting widespread culture problems on a team he’s supposed to be bringing up to a certain standard. He’s failed them

if you don’t believe in this you don’t believe leadership is Anything more than just making plays and setting an example. Imo that’s a type of leadership but it takes a more alpha vocal leader to lead as I suggest.
