Everyone needs to buck and grow a pair..... they need to do whatever it takes to help ensure..... not completely try dismantling the whole thing and then wonder why no one ever wants to come and be our coach. If I wasn’t a Tennessee fan and had my choices of where to go.... Tennessee would be way down the list.

No idea if he can recruit with the big boys but here’s an article that speaks a little to his recruiting strategy at Syracuse. Not that it has a lot to do with how he’d recruit at another college program but something to read.

Napier is an up and comer. I get it, it's at a small school, but he has been around the south his whole career. He has worked at Clemson, at Alabama, and has tons of ties and relationships to the area. He is known as a relentless recruiter and as the CEO of a program. He will handle the offense and hire a defensive staff and let them do their job. As for his head coaching career, Louisiana had never won 10 games in their entire history. He has done that in back to back years. He has an innovative offense, and has no scandal. This is a guy who is quite possibly the best of our options for the above reasons for Freeze, Herman, and Gus, and also because the pipe dreams of Campbell and Fickell aren't going to happen. Oh, and Napier took Louisiana up to Iowa State and skull drug Campbell this year.

Been saying Freeze, Sark, Napier since all this came up. Still want Freeze. This investigation stuff does not change that IMO. UT will have already been smeared, why not go ahead and take all the lumps in the media up front and get them out of the way. Then start winning again and it all goes away. We got past Bruce Pearl by winning with Rick Barnes. Now everybody considers them peers - winners.

If not Freeze, I hoped for Sark, but expected Napier. Texas agreed with me. So he's out. UT has only correctly responded once to adversity in my memory and it was with Barnes. So that told me Napier for the same reasons. you say here and I have posted before, Bass. I'm all in if he is announced.

I have Gus below Chadwell. Gus is a figment in people's imagination. His quirky O scheme is done. All of the DC's figured it out years ago and he never changed it significantly along with not being a QB guru. If we go quirky O, I would rather have Chadwell, at least he is strongly connected native of TN. I'm good with Herman. Fickell will probably wait on B10 and OSU specifically. The good ole boys may slide in Marrone. Better hire than some on here want it to be.

FWIW to the those who are chewing fingernails. Tennessee is still Tennessee. Sleeping giant that can recover relatively quickly if everybody starts rowing in the same direction for a change.
