He probably wants to get back to Bama and be the DC for a few seasons and try to get promoted to the HC job there when Saban retires.

i think the old saying "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all" should apply...a lot....for the foresseable future...unfortunately.
Man Pruitt really is trying. He can’t help it. We have to accept losing and come together for fun tailgates next year. It’s not about football anymore, it’s about time with our friends and food. We should hand out iPads every game so people can watch other games and just enjoy the new Neyland experience.

He doesn't want to be here. He wants to be at Bama obviously.
I don't think that's true. I do believe that there is a chance he could resign however and call Saban up and go back there. That wouldn't surprise me. I really do believe that Pruitt is a good guy and a good coach. This job is just too big for him right now.

Which is very surprising considering the programs he’s been at and the success he’s had.

So Pruitt is openly telling people he could go back to Bama and be A ok??!! Dude needs to do everyone a favor including himself and go now! That’s ridiculous! I mean he’s totally right. He’d be back there in no time but no wonder he looks so lethargic and checked out! It’s hard to coach a team when you aren’t totally bought in to making it work here!!!

I don't think so. I think he's too proud to do that and admit the job was to big for him.

If Muschamp is fired, I wonder if Ansley would be encouraged to explore options and Muschamp becomes DC. Could entice some USCe transfers including their recent highly rated QB

Doesn't sound good. Probably one of the last people on here to give up on a coach but bad body language, no fire on the sidelines and no effort to make adjustments are indicative of a coach or a coaching staff that is mailing it in and looking for the nearest exit. Hate to see it happen but making a change seems like the best thing long term. If this is where things are headed, I hope common sense and well thought out plans wins out over emotional knee jerk reactions. Hearing one name thrown about I hope they leave alone. UT does not need boat rowers, wood choppers or brick by brick sloganeers. Need a 180 degree turn to an Offensive minded , high energy, high personality guy who can generate excitement and has a body of work with points on the board. MY personal short list (without any knowledge of their level of interest) would be: Freeze, Sarkisian, Kiffin, Rhule, Brady, Billy Napier. Hate we are having this discussion, but here we are.

I agree. I hate that it is not going to work because I like him. I don’t get the name calling and people claiming he is stupid. The man went from an elementary gym teacher to multi-millionaire. He is not stupid, just not ready for this type of job.

he's never had to be the head coach til now. much easier to be the good cop to saban's bad cop....or Jimbo's...in the case of Richt, well, he was just saying things that a lot of people knew, but wouldn't say out loud.

either way, there was always someone else that was ultimately responsible.

this is on him.
