Agreed but it does appear to mean we aren’t saving the buyout and this isn’t a firing with cause.

Agreed. But let’s be honest.... what has come of the DL? Pruitt voiced concerns with the DL beginning of Fall Camp. He gave Brumbaugh 4 games to try and fix the poop that is the DL. Brumbaugh didn’t. Pruitt got rid of him. I think that’s what it really boils down too.

It’s not like Pruitt saw this one Kentucky game and was like yup Brumbaugh sucks. It has been from the beginning of Camp. Not to mention who has Brumbaugh actually recruited? That is another big issue.

I think this is the best thing for our DL.

People are wanting a change at offense but I believe Chaney called the plays he did to prove a point to CJP that JG isn’t the answer. The picks JG threw, Chaney had receivers wide open and JG went to his first covered read instead of going through progressions. If you ask me it was a ploy to get CJP to realize he can’t stick with JG. JMO.

Well then you’ve just stuck your head in the sand.

Again, basically 2 classes. Pruitt was hired just before ESD in 2017. We weren’t gonna land a legit QB in that time frame coming off of 4-8.

If you wanna say Maurer was a miss then ok? But he’s been injured and missed practice. Believe it or not, you have to practice to be good at playing.

HB could be the truth. And even tho you don’t care about Covid, it still had a very real impact. A true FR isn’t gonna be able to come in and take over the O while taking so few snaps preseason.

We have literally lost games to teams and been played competitive, with WRs at QB. This isn’t the NFL. You don’t have to have a big time QB to be competitive and win games. There’s also other avenues to get QBs than straight out of high school. You’re acting like it’s an impossible task for this these guys to find an average QB since they were hired... I’m not asking them to find the next 1st round pick. Just someone better than JG.

What are we doing?

I have never understood them switching guys positions constantly. That makes no sense to me. I can understand if there is an injury but the past few years they have just been switching guys around for no reason. It can definitely hurt development and understanding of playbook especially when it’s offense to defense or vice versa

Doesn't matter who he starts..we are getting destroyed..

Bailey obviously isn't ready because they thought JG could be solid enough..if anything this shows extreme arrogance or faith (you decide which) in their coaching ability.

Maurer has mental illness, which is kind of hard to predict if the kid nor his family are honest about in recruiting...

Shrout was just a try and find somebody...that's all they had time for in that class thanks to the shitshowcircus coaching search..

Bailey is a legitimate prospect with almost no real college practice thanks to Covid...I can understand why they didn't give him more of what little practice reps they had this offseason..since they really believed they could get just solid play from JG.

When you break things down like that, it adds valuable context.
Bama game is a wash. Let all 3 of BM, JTs, & HB play.... whoever looks the best.. name them the starter going forward... hand the team over to them and give them 2 weeks with all the reps to prepare for a winnable Arkansas game.

lol

Remember when I criticized CJP for moving players around too much from the start of his tenure?

Funny how now people want to see that it’s a problem now but called me a troll then.
What is it you’ve been saying in defense of Pruitt continuing to play JG? Oh yeah

“FuNnY hOw SoMe oF Y’aLL tHiNk YoU kNow So MuCh MoRe ThAn ThE CoAcHeS. FaHr PrUiTT.”

If JP continues to play JG, especially in a year where this is basically practice from an eligibility standpoint, then he is just another Dooley/Butch with a side of cornbread and is in over his head. Same song, different coach. And if he/Chaney/Wienke thinks another QB can't do any better at this point, then it's straight up ALL on them, no excuses, they are getting paid a lot of money to develop each player to the fullest potential. They have three 3-4* QB's on this roster and there are at least 25 other schools in the country have done as good or better with less QB talent. So FAIL on their part. This tells me they have no idea of how to develop/identify a QB whatsoever.

AT THIS POINT-

Our RB's at this point are just glorified scat-backs who fall down as soon as someone grabs their shoelaces... they are fast, and can find a hole, but go down as soon as there is contact.
Our Oline is overrated. Period.
Our WR's can't get separation
Our veteran OC can't come up with an offense to cater to our strengths and talent. He doesn't even know how to call a single slant. He is overrated.
Our secondary is inconsistent and continue to blow coverage every game.
Our D line can't pressure the QB or get any push.
Haven't seen a legitimate noticeable in-game adjustment so far this season.

Sorry, but those are the facts so far this season. This is year three and we still look a lot like year one in most position groups. This is POOR COACHING. I'm not giving him anymore passes. He can recruit, but that too will suffer greatly without the results that should be seen by now on the field. I hope he turns this around, proves me wrong, and gets out of his own way, but right now it looks a lot like the same 'ish the past 10+ yrs.

If this offensive line doesn't get it together, and soon, Pruitt has absolutely set the standard and made the ultimate case to move on from Friend.
