Nate overreacting as usual. He missed fall camp due to contact tracing, and most of the receivers were out. They didn’t give him many reps because there weren’t many to go around. They gave them to JG and Shrout. There wasn’t really another option

This is a problem. A 5* Qb Top 100 player, and you don’t give him any reps???
Even with the Covid Restrictions, you HAVE to see the talent you have a QB, and with a Kid like HB you gotta try and get him as ready as possible.

Make him #2 and let him get reps. Cmon Coach

His second class are freshmen. There’s a lot of promise there, but we have had this dumb covid thing, and thus his recruits, sophomores and freshmen, have had no offseason development. That has hurt this young team. No question.

I still think we need some staff changes at certain positions, and he should’ve brought in a QB transfer, but you’re correct to point this out. We all knew there wasn’t a lot of upper class talent on this team. Our best pass rusher is a guy who wouldn’t start for any other team in the conference except the bottom teams like Vandy and others.

Eh. I could maybe buy that argument against UGA. ALA and UF. But its UK they haven't recruited crazy well and are usually below TN. I dont buy the talent argument today. This team got out played out coached and quit when #2 got ran out there the second time.

Agreed. The rebuild is sped up immensely if you can find a DeShaun Watson but the reality is with the 25 player limit it takes longer these days.

It actually looks worse when I add the juniors but I will spare you.

No question. But it’s fair to point out that we are not a talented football team except for our underclassmen who haven’t been able to be developed

So here’s my thoughts. Trouble with JG: his best ball is the deep ball. Hence why we run these long developing routes. But if the line blows an assignment JG gets killed and here we go downhill from there. Happened against Georgia. He takes a few hits then gets in his head. The line should be much better than they are and that has to be coaching. Friend is the worst position coach on the team(Wienke a close second).
