We smoked them last year, but we did it with explosive plays. Punt return, punt block, deep ball to Calloway and JJ. Can’t rely on all of those things this year, especially not knowing what we have at WR.

But.. our defense shut them down in the second half and I expect that to be even more so this year

They also had some explosive plays like the opening play and Edwards one-handed catch. I also remember that we got screwed a lot with penalties in the first half.

I've never seen him have an opinion in any of his reporting. I may have missed something though. He is usually just straightforward with facts. O think he has said he thought they wouldn't play without all students on campus.

Don't believe so. He is like some others- just reports what he's told. The shortness of Twitter can come off differently. Sure, there are some like Wolken and Forde who appear to have an agenda, but Barrett Sallee, McMurphy, and I have even heard Dennis Dodd say on radio that his job could be lost if there wasn't football.

I'm not on Twitter, but I did see how McMurphy responded today to Dodd's tweet quoting the PSU athletic director.

Agree with this a lot. I think we have less explosive plays but more consistent drives. EG and TC about to put up 250 yards on USC

All the big hitters got 1st year head coaches (and lower half teams).

Bama - Mizzou
Lsu - Miss St
Uga - Ark
UF - Ole Miss

Then A&M gets Vandy

Surprise, surprise, only Aub and UT (the same 2 teams that had their schedule made HARDER with the 2 team additions...shocker), got reasonably close matchups.

In a season where only a handful of games may be played, early season records are more paramount than ever and Birmingham knows this.

@gainesvol82, @WBO and @VolGee4 have both given you excellent advice. My limited experience with Florida law is that it can be unique so I definitely would have your wife contact an attorney who specializes in employment law. Also, as much as you want to help, you need to not interfere in the process as that will do more harm than good. Unless, of course, you want his a$$ kicked then it’s ok to hire someone not an attorney.

South Carolina is a middle of the road team for us this year. I think it's a good opponent for us to start out with, because we might need Vandy and some of the easier games later in the season once we start getting dinged up.

The last thing I'm going to do is complain about our opening game when it appears we are actually getting football.
