Hmmmm...... I wonder what could have changed the projections?

It's really an interesting problem. There has never been comparable situation to this. The 1918 flu is probably closest, but there was nowhere the travel and general mobility of today. Everything that we 'know' about how mitigation efforts would affect the outcome is a guess at best. Still think that unmitigated this would have been tragic. Still think that this fall may be trouble.

That TAMU game did it for me. I was there and it was hot as all get out and a 4 hour game and Burch played for OT as our offense was rolling. I try and not be a Monday Morning QB, but that showed me he lacked situational awareness and was scared to lose.

The Hurd situation completely slapped me in the face. I bought into Butch’s BS. That team should have played in SECCG no question.

I would like to thank all who have lifted my family up in prayer.
Thursday my father was called home to be with his lord and savior Jesus Christ.
My father was a pastor for 40 years and loved everyone he met. The greatest man I have ever known my hero and my rock. A true warrior of faith. I know where he is and I made him a promise to see him again.
When you pray say one for old ridge runner I truly need and appreciate them.
Will do..I hate death.

Minimum wage jobs were never intended to be for people on the 3rd, 4th, 5th jobs or whatever. Their soul purpose initially was for young people entering part-time jobs finishing hs and starting college or entering into a full time labor market. I realize their are tons of single parents and others who have been in adverse situations who, for whatever reason may still be stuck in minimum wage jobs.
But there is no way in hell our minimum wage should be set at $12, much less $15.
You let businesses and the market dictate the pay they are willing to fork over. But, hopefully, people working minimum wage jobs are working hard, being noticed, learning new skills thru their employer or school, updating or creating a resume and advancing into higher paying positions.
As someone posted earlier, even most fast-food restaurants are paying above minimum now just to have some workers. And no, you can't live off that alone but hopefully they aren't planning to flip a burger ten years from now at Wendy's.
Let the market dictate what they are willing to pay. It should not be dictated by the govt.
Disagree..come see the mining museum here in Harlan county, or about a million other examples of abuse. I never said I agree with 15 anyway.
