He’s getting what he wanted at UT. Basically all recruiting and personnel moves go through him. Works with Aranda imo. Would have been a disaster with Pruitt, who identifies the talent and prioritizes in a hands on fashion.

They’ve always had talent. The difference this past season was one guy (not Burrow) and he left...along with the defensive brain trust. Talk of simply reloading seems out of touch with reality.
