Funny reading the comments. Everybody is like “soooo... this guy... what does he do? Oh... sounds shady.... sign him up” Lol
it's a good point here. Austin wanted to basically report to fulmer and be the GM that gets to 'buy the groceries' so to speak. pruitt is definitley more in the mold of parcells as to who gets to do the shopping. He’s getting what he wanted at UT. Basically all recruiting and personnel moves go through him. Works with Aranda imo. Would have been a disaster with Pruitt, who identifies the talent and prioritizes in a hands on fashion.
When CJP closes with Evans, Wideman, and Beckwith this class will be a solid A.
Elite QB
Elite receivers
Elite RB to go along with a big bruising back or 2 in Whitehead or Hodge
Elite DL signees in Bailey, Big O, and Hardy
Big time class
Good analogy. Whatever the prevailing opinion on Parcells, he knew what his type of player LOOKED LIKE. When he was enabled, he upped the quality of talent with the Pats, Jets and Cowboys. I’m sure he had significant input with the Giants as well past what he inherited.it's a good point here.
