Makes sense in a way. We are the name program they feel like they can beat. So they make us their super bowl and shiz on us if they beat us 2 straight years because it makes them feel so mighty. No need for them to acknowledge it was our worst time in program history. Decade of dysfunction and all. It's baffling how UT seems to be every SECE team's hated rival. SCAR, UK, Vandy, Mizzou seem cordial with UGA and FL, but hate us with a fiery passion. Apparently, they consider us a nothing program that should be an auto-win. I could understand it if they were all 8, but...
I hope to be SEC 2 and in under the current rules before long (even before we win the SEC). All plans I see seem to hurt us.Do like bball and just have a reg season champ. That is 1 option.
2nd option, and one which I love, is making the conference championship a part of the playoff. So Division 1a plays division 2b and 2a plays 1b. Then winners play for the championship. 4 superconference champs play down to 1. G5s have their own playoff or join one of the 4 superconferences.
Option 3 is having 8 conferences. Maybe add the aac, mwc, and 1 other. Conference champs play out an 8 team playoff.
Thought WRs did well last year. This year the WRs were SRs under the veteran Chaney, not newbie Helton, offense. His position group got better when he left - Wide Receivers.
His new group got worse when he arrived - Running Backs.
Has he recruited well?
Now. You tell me what you think he has done well.
I agree about that. Michigan people think their program is wayyyyyy better than it is. He’s done fine.Who is "they"? Not sure what your point is. That is a huge gap. Like said, bigger than us and UK.
Michigan has good players. OSU has elite players. Big difference. And Harbaugh has done very well outside of OSU. People like Finebaum acting like he's been terrible are setting ridiculous bars. They may not be late 90s Michigan, but if we were going 9-3 and 10-2 yearly, people would be singing our coach's praises.
After this past decade of Tennessee football I'm not sure I'll get back to the point to where I'm complaining about 9 and 10 win seasons. Unless your coach is Nick Saban it's hard to ask for much more.I agree about that. Michigan people think their program is wayyyyyy better than it is. He’s done fine.
He would fail in astounding ways in the NFLGoing to call my shot now, they'll hire Dan Mullen. They need someone to fix Cam, Mullen is an excellent QB developer and has expressed interest in the NFL in the past. Even MMQB in SI mentioned today he'd be a potentially hot candidate this cycle.
Oh, and guess who also recruited Cam to Florida? Mullen.
