It seems, and I understand it if people are younger, and don't/can't remember things, i get it; but, it seems people only remember post-neck Manning...the one that only went on to win another MVP and went to 2 SBs. Seems there's this narrative out there, that Manning had no "talent" or "athleticism". The OP isnt the first i've seen it.

It's just not true.

Before Manning hurt his neck...while no, he wasn't Lamar Jackson, he could move around in the pocket, out of the pocket, buy time, and throw. And, whenever the aforementioned throwing of the football, he had as much "talent" as ANYONE to ever do it. And, before he hurt his neck, his arm was as strong as anyone's. Not only could he throw a 60 yard dime, his placement is unmatched.

It also truly seems, that people have most definitely forgotten Manning at Tennessee. And, this is not at you, Jack, none of this...but, go back and just watch his games against Georgia, and try and tell me he had no talent or athleticism.

Manning's arm talent alone, both as a gun and a marksman, puts him above all our other greats, he truly is once-in-a-lifetime...thats before you add in everything else. Imo, he is the GOAT, all time; however, on everyone else's list, if he's not #1, he's 2 or 3. And people are trying to say he didn't have much talent?? ALL brains? I guess I'll just have to disagree.
I believe Peyton was so gameday prepared for every situation,he never really had to show his athletic side by running and moving around a lot. Individuals saying Peyton wasn't athletic is like individuals saying Dan Marino didn't have one of the top 2 quickest releases in football history..

Now, no need to be cruel, Mikey’s good people. Don’t throw all that at him at one time. You’ll throw him into a full cardiac arrest. You gonna lay down and take that from a possum, @508mikey? A creature that lays down and plays dead all the time when it’s confronted?

Funny, Greg Maddux was everywhere the ball was bc. He was prepared. He looked like a professor, but he was also a very good athlete.

I mean if we are talking about talent and play making ability then Manning should not be top 5. Hate to say it but the reason he was so good was because of his high IQ on the field not his physical attributes. Now going off talent and play making ability.....

Then it's gotta be in no order :

Hooker
Holloway
Shuler
Robinson
Dobbs
Manning made plays with his arm and his mind. There is more than one way to move the football. Getting it done is what it’s all about. Whether it’s through the air or on the ground or both. Let me rephrase it for ya then where you can’t split hairs. Simply my 4 picks for best ever quarterbacks at Tennessee. GBO

Yes.

But, you remember, 52...back whenever Manning was a Vol. He most definitely could run and get away. Move out of the pocket, stop on a dime, and deliver. And, people forget, or maybe never even realized, he had 12 career rushing TDs at UT...and not all of them were QB sneaks from the 1.

He had the hard fake roll out down to a science. He could have walked in at bama in 95. He faked out everybody in Birmingham.

He switched to WR at V Tech.

Never thought he was going to be anything at Tennessee, but I hoped for it- even though I openly criticized his lack of toughness and heart.

He probably means Peyton Lewis. Wouldn’t call him elite but he is tough and fast.
I didn't realize that. I always thought he should have played WR here and was disappointed that they were committed to him being a running back. Good luck to Cam. Good player.

Hey, guys! Sorry I haven't been around much. I've been spending most of my time on onlyfans. The demand for my content has been overwhelming.
There's a crowd for everything, I guess. Even geriatric gay porn. Not my hustle, but no judgement. Do what you got to do to buy us some players.
