And just think, his two college age sons are listening to him. This has nothing to do with your post, sorry Jack. I know there’s been a few posts of national media spewing Nico’s camp backpedaling, but has anyone considered that his sons have watched Big Nic negotiate all their lives and learned from big papa? I agree with some poster that said it would be better if Nico commits somewhere quickly and let us all move on.lol is there a worse negotiator than nick iamaleava? View attachment 735647
This is what is wrong with this garbage world...there is no accountability for anything you do no matter how selfish, slimy or dishonest...just truckloads of excuses.I’m NOT absolving Nico of responsibility, I’m a huge believer in personal accountability. It’s the whole design God has for the world.
However, I have learned to give more grace and be more understanding of people’s circumstances. He was raised how he was raised. You can’t divorce that fact from the conversation. His dad runs the show. It’s obviously a family thing, and evidently a cultural thing also, although I have a hard time believing most Polynesian patriarchs are so wreckless with their families and have such poor morals as big nic. Should nico have made better decisions? Yep. But it isn’t that simple, when all you have known your entire life is to defer big decisions to your dad. He trusted his dad to lead him the right direction. Unfortunately dad isn’t the best role model.
Like I said before, Hopefully he learns a lesson
I’m glad so many of y’all had life all figured out when you were 20 and knew exactly when to, and when not to take your dads counsel, and always made good decisions.
See that’s not what I said at all. I said it’s his responsibility, but I don’t have the disdain for him that I have for his Dad.This is what is wrong with this garbage world...there is no accountability for anything you do no matter how selfish, slimy or dishonest...just truckloads of excuses.
Yeah, I get that...but would you have said I ain't going and then go?
Man...going into a SEC season with just 2 QBs and both of them having basically no experience at all is a recipe for 6-6 or worse.Impressive and smart. Good instincts and touch. As a junior he’d be a two year leadin for Brandon. Personally prefer to stick with Merk and Mac…but a HC with win now mentality doesn’t hesitate if he’s a possibility imo.
I fully expect us to get a QB, but at the same time I fully expect us to not go big.Man...going into a SEC season with just 2 QBs and both of them having basically no experience at all is a recipe for 6-6 or worse.
I'm not saying one of em couldn't and shouldn't becallowed to legitimately compete for the job....but going into the season with just those 2 is something I do not want to do.
We gotta have a good QB brought in...Merk and GMac both knew they were not playing much this year barring injury...so if we can get a solid one year guy nothing has really changed.
I will say this though, whatever we do...we have GOT to get these guys real game experience this year.
