Easy answer...at that point it was "In for a penny, in for a pound", but last week Nico and his slimy scumbag greedy crew crossed a line that had been drawn....and it was over.I don't know...why give in the first time they started making demands? He was given a RS season because they wanted it...even though I'm positive the staff wanted to get him as many live reps as possible. He made demands before the playoff game and those were met so he played, and even then his per year payment was going to go up...He was given all the 1st team reps all camp even with this looming NIL contract issue still present.
So the fault I guess would be they kept giving in...which lead to his dad, the big narcissist in the situation, to believe he was the one in control.
Plus...you are either forgetting or ignoring that fact they had already been told NO on a big renegotiated raise.I don't know...why give in the first time they started making demands? And just think, his two college age sons are listening to him. This has nothing to do with your post, sorry Jack. I know there’s been a few posts of national media spewing Nico’s camp backpedaling, but has anyone considered that his sons have watched Big Nic negotiate all their lives and learned from big papa? I agree with some poster that said it would be better if Nico commits somewhere quickly and let us all move on.lol is there a worse negotiator than nick iamaleava? View attachment 735647
This is what is wrong with this garbage world...there is no accountability for anything you do no matter how selfish, slimy or dishonest...just truckloads of excuses.I’m NOT absolving Nico of responsibility, I’m a huge believer in personal accountability. It’s the whole design God has for the world.
However, I have learned to give more grace and be more understanding of people’s circumstances. He was raised how he was raised. You can’t divorce that fact from the conversation. His dad runs the show. It’s obviously a family thing, and evidently a cultural thing also, although I have a hard time believing most Polynesian patriarchs are so wreckless with their families and have such poor morals as big nic. Should nico have made better decisions? Yep. But it isn’t that simple, when all you have known your entire life is to defer big decisions to your dad. He trusted his dad to lead him the right direction. Unfortunately dad isn’t the best role model.
Like I said before, Hopefully he learns a lesson
I’m glad so many of y’all had life all figured out when you were 20 and knew exactly when to, and when not to take your dads counsel, and always made good decisions.
