Amazing how every name associated with Nico gets shot down...... Either by the program or program mouthpieces.

The only constant has been UCLA, not sure why money would be an issue in LA but it appears it is.

Maybe Nico doesn't get his 4 million. But watch his team downplay his number by saying they chose UCLA and have them the home team discount.
It’s wild that programs are actively saying no to a player and publicly. You just don’t see this.

Could just be my orange glasses...but even the areas we know there is a step back coming or lack of experience I see improvements in other areas.

DL - losing a lot...but RG should be the last coach questioned. Still got Josephs, Eason, Ross, Herring, West, Moi, Hobbs, Bailey...and then a ton of young talent we've yet to see waiting for reps
LB - Inge entering year 2 with his first full class of "his guys" Carter, Spillman, Telander...adding Perlotte & Harmon...size and speed has been upgraded big time in this group I'm excited
DB - McCoy injury and the situation with Gibson sucks...some of the more talented guys still on campus though. And I really like the new additions. Hopefully Gibson stays and McCoy recovery goes well and this group will be good

I also 100% think the TE room is going to be big time improved...Miles returning, Davis just keeps improving and both of the true freshmen have the potential to be starting

WR - all year this group got the most hate...well all new faces and young high rated talent (kinda how the secondary was going into last season...) Better QB play (more catchable balls) and you can't tell me Matthews, Staley, Brazzell, Radarious, Smith Jr. & even Boo aren't going to wear teams out in 1 on 1 matchups.

We won 10 games with Dylan Sampson, without him we would’ve won 6-7.

We don’t have the defense or the luxury at RB/OL that we did last season.

So I don’t think it’s that simple.
We didn't know we had those luxuries before last season, so we're in a nearly identical spot. We had just lost a great RB and very productive #2 RB, and the only certain spot on the OL was Cooper Mays because Spraggins was coming off an injury and the other spots were questions. We also didn't know that the defense was going to be as good as they were.

I think the recruiting has been good enough that we don't see a big drop off at RB/OL and defense. Peyton Lewis is probably the most physically talented RB that Heupel has had and Bishop has already proven he can be really productive. We've got solid depth with a transfer that produced at the Power 5 level and two freshmen (Morris most likely to contribute somehow). By all accounts, they've got a lot of good depth at guard and Satterwhite looked good at Center. Heard looked better and should be more productive at LT than last season. RT is the question and we've atleast got a couple talented guys as options. No offense to Dayne Davis, but it's likely a net positive at RT over last season.

Heupel will get guys wide open in the passing game. If the QB can hit half of those throws that Nico struggled with, then the offense likely improves over last season. The questions on defense are depth at DT, which they've got guys but they're unproven, and what do they have at CB if McCoy isn't ready or is not up to form.

Unless you're able to stack a roster like UGA and Alabama used to (even they have struggled to stack depth like that with NIL), then you're going to have several questions about your roster until the season starts and things start to play out. The one thing we have no reason to question is Heupel's ability to coach the team and put a winner on the field. How much they win...TBD.

Money is part of it, but you have to avoid people who are only interested in the largest amount of cash.

This is why it would be amazing comedy if some of our fans were given full GM decision-making autonomy for a college football team. With a massive piggy bank to spend on it. They constantly get on here and social media and say that we should just give the best recruits whatever amount they want. If the only thing that is important to them is "the bag" then make sure we give them all the biggest bag. Imagine how much of a cluster our roster would be with these people in charge. I want to see it happen (give them control of another school so they do not ruin UT) for the pure comedy of it.

Well Tennessee must've sweetened the pot for Avery to enter the portal... Let's see where he ends up at...

This is the exact opposite of what needs to be done. Sometimes, Shutting up is the best course of action. Which more people needed to learn. Not everything needs an explanation immediately.

I bet Nico wishes Big Nick just STFU back in January.

Nah, you reach out at least to the coach who brought you this far.
