I'm still of the belief that the Titans are going to draft Carter #1 and the Ward talk is all smoke and mirrors

its going to be Hunter. GM will talk about getting "two elite players in one pick"

Aaron Rodgers wasn’t really considered that…more an upside to be determined quantity. A weird draft (kind of like this one) where if he wasn’t the number one overall to a QB desperate franchise, he was going to drop in the first round to borderline second. So Niners bit on Alex Smith instead and he dropped to a team with an entrenched HOF QB.

I'm not sure I'd agree with that statement...but he's for sure better than Will Levis. I think had Ward played in the SEC he might not have had the same sort of success because the competition would have been a lot more difficult.

Could be but when I watched him play he seemed considerably better than any SEC quarterback I saw play this year. He just seemed to me that he was good under pressure and making throws off platform which could be really helpful playing for the Titans. Doesn’t matter who they have at quarterback if they don’t get some better players around him. I just think he has a decent chance to be a pretty good NFL quarterback. I really don’t have a very strong opinion on him. I did have a strong opinion that Will Levis was never the answer.

This is the EXACT SAME THING they said about drafting Will Levis!

The only difference is that Will Levis wasn't accomplished in college.

I mean....my question is, what mistakes has Cam Ward made on the field?

Only 6 games in his college career at the P4 level (3 years) did he throw under 60%
Never threw more than 2 INTs in a single game while playing in 38
Only 7 games did he not throw for at least 200 yards


Levis had an attempt in a total of 32 games in his 4 years at the P4 level

10 times he failed to hit 60%
Only 13 times did he throw for at least 200 yards
Threw more than 2 INTs in 2 games


One guy had a career full of mistakes on the field and the other is Cam Ward.

I'd still prefer a top 5 QB pick in next year's class over this years. JMO. Sign a vet trade for more pics. Mandate it be a top 5 pick. But sure, if they are set on burning that 1 take Cam. I just don't like the return to risk.
