Not sure DK may be lining up to be the 2 guard running mate for Luka when James retires.

I think Austin Reeves will be the odd man out.

He’s listed as a SG, but plays a lot of point. Is being paid almost 13 million (DK is making 3.8). AR is an UFA in 2027-28 as well. So if they want anything they’ll need to make a move in next 2 seasons

Next 2 games are huge too.

Missouri is 3rd in SEC standings at 6-2
A&M is 4th in SEC standings at 6-3

If we manage to beat both we’ll be in a great spot to secure top 4 SEC regular season finish.

Bama still has their hardest 7 games ahead of them. But both Auburn and Bama are at 8 wins.

Heupel/Spyre has now had back to back classes with a higher average player rating than UT has ever had in the modern recruiting era. From 2004-2023 the highest avg player rating UT had was 90.22 in 2019. In 2024 it became 90.79 and now in 2025 it is 91.02.

Given the lack of upfront public knowledge/level of secrecy and the late night release...and ofc the names involved..I'd say so.

Luka’s career now

LeBron will ruin him. I don’t see that working out very well.

If I’m Luka, I’m already requesting to be traded again.

It's a longterm move. I have more faith in the Lakers org than, say, the Rockets (Harden is an easy comp to Luka) to go out and pair a dominant big with him.

Kareem...Shaq...Pau...AD, all won a title with an elite playmaker. The Lakers get the formula.
