Recruiting Football Talk VIII

As some of you know, I live near Arkansas State University. One of the first things Butch Jones did when he became coach here was institute a policy to always tuck in shirts for players and coaches. This was an Alabama policy under Saban.
A coach I know turned down a job at Vandy partly based on the similiar policy by Coach Lea. His understanding was coaches at Vandy were required to wear collared shirts and slacks in office and have shirts tucked at all times around the program.
I get the discipline aspect, but at the end of the day tucking your shirt does not win ballgames.
Quite a change from my days at ASU with Bull Davidson and Larry Lacewell there. 😂

I was too...I wasn't excited about it when I first heard about it, but instead of immediately freaking out, I did a lot of research into Heupel and watched a lot of UCF stuff and I thought we might have something after all....I thought if nothing else, we would get a fun offense to watch.

More or less how I felt. I didn't think Heupel would be this good, but I felt with his offensive credentials he'd make us fun to watch.
