We have better most recent history, not long term sustained success (only bc TV hasn’t been here long enough yet). And we have better AD. As I’ve said I think it can flip in another few years as long as TV is around.

Kind of a situation where you're thankful we have Rick Barnes in Knoxville. We know how much TV reveres Barnes as a person and potentially a mentor of sorts. Barnes was in a similar situation with the UCLA deal.

If it ever actually came up and I was Danny White I'd send Rick Barnes to Tony's house with a police escort to tell him why he should stay.

He's already proven there's nothing he can't do in Knoxville that he could do in Fayetteville. The difference is that HE is the program legacy here. He's the Bear Bryant, the John Wooden, the Mike Martin of Tennessee baseball.

If he goes to Arkansas he's the man sitting on the pyramid DVH and DeBriyn built.

Sounds to me like he tried to leverage himself into a higher income class and was spending like he’d already made it there, and defrauded people in order to create such leverage. Didn’t turn out. Now the chickens all coming to roost. Crash and burn.

Prob from a defensive standpoint (see all the passed balls / wild pitches that weren’t blocked vs ARK).

Peebles ended .253 with 11 bombs. And we know how bad his average was for a while so he did a lot of that late season.

Lawless had good numbers but in limited action.

Both were good offensively for the C position.
