Even with a loss they finish 41-15.

“Not elite”? Absolutely.

They’ve certainly been meh since they run ruled TAMU. Those early wins are great and they still count but it feels like a different team since then.

That’s what happens when a team that isn’t elite gets into the meat of the SEC schedule. Fine margins decide wins or losses. Vol fans not used to that bc we used to mash our way to Ws.

They’re good, not elite. Anyone who thinks they’re not good only watches UT baseball and no other college games ever.

this team may just not be very good

They are good.... And they're not. 40+ wins, going to play in the post season. Big picture, not the end of the world.

I just really hate HOW this team continues to find losses. Everything is just a little off, pitching, defense, offense... And yet still good enough to compete with almost anyone.

But not good enough to overcome the consistency at which we make, what winds up being, game changing mistakes.

Just one of those years. Who knows.. Maybe going on the road in the post season and playing out of conf will be a nice change of pace. We've seen Ole miss and Florida go on runs in there post season recently after lack luster regular seasons...

Topwater popper before work one morning. No activity until deciding to make one last cast and it nailed it about 15 feet from the dock. It was probably between 5-6 pounds. Been seeing a lot of big spotted bass around the dock too and caught a 3 pounder this morning. Water is murky from all the rain and activity on the lake is nuts today.

We need a Drew Gilbert personality on the team. No swagger and no one that really wants to hit in the big moments of the game. Even in the midweek games we only score in a couple innings.

Fisch is that guy. Plays with emotion. Talks sh*t. Produces at an elite level.

What the team needs is to be more experienced. Lost 8 draft picks . 2nd youngest team in the conference behind FL.

$70K on a car is too much. Depreciates in value, and will break. Far often earlier than later. Ive always wanted an old 4X4, unfortunately they hold their value.

I see no way of spending $40K on something that will be a money pit.

Fun fact, Americans on average save less than 20% of earnings. Their debt to income ratio is among the highest in World.

Chinese families save over 50%, on average.

Think about that.

Sorry to bring car discussion back up, but I did just buy a new vehicle! I have two boys that play travel ice hockey, so I travel a ton! I did not want to spend 50K on a. Vehicle but I am so far averaging 37 miles to the gallon (previous vehicle jeep wrangler around 18 mpg) so I believe I made the right choice but I contemplated for over a year! Went with hybrid three row highlander and truly love it, just hate having a monthly car payment again! I am saving $100 a month in gas and have a new car, good luck in whatever you decide.
