Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Do any of you ride a motor cycle? I'm buying one today from a guy that Johnny Blaze got his from. Just need to sign the paperwork. . .
Had a GSX-R600 back in the day. Lot of fun, but you can get yourself in trouble on one. I was young and dumb… mid 20’s living in Panama City Beach. It was cherry red. I miss it… sometimes lol.

I was always a dirt bike guy. Never saw the appeal of street bikes. . . mainly because of some accidents I saw as a kid.

A car backed out of their driveway near Mayflower Road onto Chapman Hwy in South Knoxville, by the duck ponds. . . right into a motorcycle. We drove by the wreck and I saw what looked like the nub of an arm. Read the New Sentinel the next day and the person was decapitated. I was looking at their neck. Never wanted to get on a street bike after that.

Saw another bad one where Magnolia turns into Asheville Hwy. Car pulled out of the grocery store parking lot, right in front of a biker. Clipped him and sent him into a guardrail or a guidewire, cut him in half. The bikers were doing nothing wrong either time.
Had one of these absolute beaut’s back in highschool - jacked up in the back just like this one. But mine was souped up with an 80cc cylinder. Would do about 90 kph.

The cover photo by Mark Kauffman features future Hall of Fame third baseman Eddie Mathews at the plate for the Braves at Milwaukee's County Stadium. The other two people are New York Giants catcher Wes Westrum and umpire Augie Donatelli.

Mathews turned out to be the only player to play for the Braves in each of the three cities the franchise called home: Boston, Milwaukee (where it lasted from 1953 to '65) and Atlanta. The Giants moved to San Francisco for the 1958 season.

Happy Wednesday
May 7, 2025: You are adjusting to a new normal. Do not fight against it, but rather go with the flow. You will find that this adjustment will make your situation better for you than it used to be if you will be flexible and willing. Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

my very first bike was a yamaha BW80 "Big Wheel". Wish I still had that thing. It was pretty cool. . . My dad got it for me at Good Times. Jumped a dirt hill at a job site and bottomed out. Broke something in the engine. . . nearly broke my neck, cause the impact made my hands let go of the handlebars, 😂. Traded it for a go-kart that ran. I was 11 and thought it was a good deal. . .
