He's really skinny, but I think Tyler Bray was the same size his freshman year and survived. Nico wasn't much bigger last season. I don't think his size will be what keeps him from starting. Hopefully he's the type of QB that knows how to protect himself out there so he doesn't take too many bad hits if they decide to play him.I really like his skill set but just don’t know if he can handle the physicality of SEC play at his current size. I’d love to be wrong about that, though.
Aguilar is insurance to our extremely talented QB’s already on roster.Alright so, couple thoughts:
1. Hilarious troll move. If Aguilar lights up SEC defenses it'll be *chefs kiss*
2. I'm not convinced Aguilar is going to start.
A Cinderella story. If and I know it’s a pretty big If, Aguilar ends up leading us to the playoffs it will be one of the top feel good stories in college football. The media and ESPN (I know they hate us) will absolutely eat it up. It would be an amazing story and Aguilar would be a legend. Might as well be optimistic and hope it happens. I’m at least glad that I can root for our quarterback this year. I have no idea if he’s the real deal but I sure hope he is.
A genie in a bottle.Really wish his name was Aguilera so we could post pics and jokes with Christina all year.
I am the smartest man alive. For $59.99 I will give out lottery numbers.Casey Clausen was a Cali kid. It isn’t that.
IMO, the family got mad because the couldn’t double dip the NIL when Tennessee didn’t recruit Madden. My guess is that Nico goes to UCLA with his brother.
The $4M request and tactics have backfired through in public opinion and with the university. They thought the staff thought of Nico in the light of the greats of Tennessee history. He was nowhere near that.
I think Merk will be good by the time he leaves though.
