Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Am I the only one who thinks the Madden to UCLA is an attempt by the family to promote the story it was about TN’s offense and not more money?
It would have to be about Arkie’s offense, too. And they would also need to explain how they preferred the team who finished 14th in offense in the Big 10 last year. And how Nico is now surrounded by the kind of talent Nico’s posse wished for at Tennessee.

I think one anti-UT asshat reporter introduced the story about the offense a few days ago. Never having mentioned that or even thought about it, Big Nic and Landers may be hopping aboard that story. “Yeah, that’s the ticket!” Everything else they’ve yapped about has been a lie; so this being a lie wouldn’t hold them back. But you have to remember that one reason they chose Tennessee was exactly Heupel’s offense (with Hooker at the controls). They loved it. Everyone loved it the season Nico signed.

This is the best evaluation of Aguilar on the hoof I've seen posted. He's a clone of the type of QB that has torched in Heuple's offense. The exception would be Locke and Hendo. He's as capable as Dylan Gabriel, now let's see if he can put up the numbers. I would be willing to bet that we will see a much more proficient offense this season as opposed to last. I'll take a guy with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove over a 5 star with one foot always out the door.
Yep! & called his daddy every time he was asked to do something he didn’t want to do. Physically talented but immature emotionally. Not a baller. I’m looking forward to Fall!

If and I know it’s a pretty big If, Aguilar ends up leading us to the playoffs it will be one of the top feel good stories in college football. The media and ESPN (I know they hate us) will absolutely eat it up. It would be an amazing story and Aguilar would be a legend. Might as well be optimistic and hope it happens. I’m at least glad that I can root for our quarterback this year. I have no idea if he’s the real deal but I sure hope he is.

Augilar not afraid to run at all.

Given their overall roster situation UCLA needed Aguilar a lot more than they need Nico. Aguilar not afraid to run or take hits. He's not as talented but he def. has a strong on field presence. I think he can thrive in a system that let's him throw to wide open WRs.
