Any good interior DL entered the portal yet? QB is the obvious biggest need but we need 2 DL as well.

Not hard for me to believe we won't land a start QB from the portal. We may be used for pay raises, but I can easily see us being put in the situation where Merc of Mac are the QB next season.

Agreed, but the portal has been open all of 15 hours. If we were in serious negotiations with an established power 5 QB before today, there is ZERO chance Tennessee lets it leak and get's accused of tampering.

That being said, I do find it unlikely we land some of the big names being thrown around.

I'm not sure when they rule goes into effect.

SEC already ruled for this upcoming season all schools must stay under the 85. We are at 83 or 2 less thru 2027, if I'm not mistaken, bc of Pruitt.
