They have lost 5 games all year. I agree Auburn is on a different level from everyone. But 4 of our losses are on the road and all 5 to teams that should be in the tournament. I could see us not even getting to the sweet 16 and also winning the NCAA championship. It is that kind of year.I never said they were a .500 SEC team. I said they were in thr 2nd tier of SEC teams. I still believe that. Right now Auburn is the only one in tier one though. When I said that i thought Florida and Bama were both tier 1 teams.
The problem this team has had is consistency. They can beat anyone Alabama and turn around and lose to a subpar team.
Kentucky will get two bids to tournament.?They have lost 5 games all year. I agree Auburn is on a different level from everyone. But 4 of our losses are on the road and all 5 to teams that should be in the tournament. I could see us not even getting to the sweet 16 and also winning the NCAA championship. Everyone can lose. We have only lost 5 games. You talk about inferior teams but in a long basketball season, things happen with sickness, injuries or at times bad luck. You are going to lose a game from time to time. Losing 5 games is not inconsistent as a team. Offense has been at times. I will give you that and we have seen and discuss this. But overall, this team is not inconsistent. Only lost 5 games and Kentucky has played way over their heads against us and are a bad matchup. This is one heck of a team. Try to enjoy it. If you are just holding your point because it is resulting in wins............. then as Doc Holiday said to the barber...........you may proceed sirMy point has always been consistency. The vols could beat anyone but could also lose to anyone. They have an opportunity with two weak teams left. Let's see if they can take advantage. That's my point.
