My question about Kelly's future is what kind of talent does she have coming in?
Rickea and Key carry this team. Do she have that kind of talent coming in?

Even when the announcers were talking "still have 1 foul left to give!" With ONE POINT ONE seconds left I was just shaking my head. So...we should foul when a player is 99% certain to be in shooting motion?

I'm puzzled by all thoughts of wanting to foul at any point at the end. Even the foul we made could have been called a shooting foul for 3 shots. Just pure stupidity.

Yeah her recruiting is awful. She won't field a team more talented than this one in the future and we aren't very talented compared to other top programs. We have fallen behind quite a bit, but that can change with the right coach pretty quickly.

If we're a 2 seed, we're likely not going to be oit west.

And if we are, the geography argument becomes moot.

If that's the case, then yes 1 vs 2 matters somewhat, mostly because of playing anyone but Zona for a FF...assuming the 1...and we...make it there.

Otherwise, not a big difference. I've seen some 7/10s I'd rather face than 8/9s.

But the novelty for us would be nice. And accolade.

You’re overthinking it. I probably wouldn’t have fouled either, but they did and they were still in great shape. Like, almost can’t lose shape.

At that point, they’re inbounding from mid court with a second left. You have a foul to give, so you can afford to defend the inbounds as aggressively as you want. You can make it nearly impossible to get a clean catch.

The absolute worst thing you can do, at that point, is just let someone catch and shoot cleanly, even if it’s a center. Even token defense would likely have been enough to prevent a clean catch and shot.

Yeah - if a team gets that hot they are tough to beat - they hit all the big momentum changing shots, and Tennessee missed many of them

It's really not. Geography is what's overrated. Get a 2 seed in Houston, Purdue, or UCONN bracket and our final 4 chances go way down

So I assume you think AZ is not good?
I’d rather play anyone but UK in the tournament
Plus final 4 is not the goal
NC is the goal so being a 1/2 seed is irrelevant unless you just want the final 4

Vescovi has had way too many 0 FG’s made games. Not sure what happened to his offensive game this season but it’s been putrid.

Knecht would have shot an even higher percentage if he wasn’t forced to put up so many questionable shots being the only offense. We don’t have many players who can get and make their own shots.

At all!…her first two years sure…but these recruits and parents see the kind of coaching they’re getting so she’s wasting her time recruiting anyone really…we’re at the level of a “thanks no thanks” in women’s basketball right now unfortunately
