Hope you're right. But I would assume they'd have a better chance against a 13-17 team rather than us going up against a top 15 team with multiple lottery players
Road game.

Good reason NET is built around home/road adjusted SoS. Can't just look at SoS but where the games are played.

Zona should win...as we were expected to, but they have just as good a chance as losing as we did according to Vegas. If not, we may still edge them out...and then we have conf tourney too.

13-19 isn't good enough in March. Free throws are often the difference in the tournament.
I didn’t say that. But the poster said we’ve been bad all year. We really haven’t. Top 5 in the league. We shoot well from the FT line, but I agree that you have to take advantage in tight games.

They have 2 to give.
Yes and it only puts the opponent in a BETTER POSITION.

They literally had the worst position possible...shooting from 5-10 ft behind the half court...at an angle. It's a nearly impossible shot.

The only possible outcome from a foul was a better shot attempt for USCjr. It's not like they're going to pass it in backwards...😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

Truly bizarre decision. Zero logic.

The better question is, why did we let the girl leak out, and not burn the other one. A huge difference between 1.1 and lets say .7

Here's to hoping USC kicks their ass tonight!

That didn’t beat them. Allowing an undefended inbounds and shot with 1.1 left and a foul to give is what beat them. We should have made them battle just to catch the ball. And we could be as aggressive as we wanted because there was no risk!
I disagree.

Yes it was bad defense, but we could have lost in a thousand ways on the final play. They very easily could have posted up, made a deep pass and won it OT. Or pulled a Laettner. Or we defend the 3 but they still hit a 20-40% chance shot to beat us. WHY take those odds?

But letting the girl shoot it from 60 feet away on the run in a hurry has to be less than 1%.

You should NEVER EVER foul there and it's not even close.

Bad defense is execution. Happens all the time. Making a terrible decision is making a terrible decision. Inexcusable.
