I heard it from the radio too and still to this day have never seen a replay of it. šŸ‘€

Was that it? I thought he missed it then tapped it in. I didnt realize it went down like that.
I didn’t either. I thought it came right back to him. The fact he ended up with the ball on the side is Bird-like.

Speaking, of Allan, DK is the best volume scorer we’ve had since him. I’m putting him ahead of Lofton now cause he can score more off the dribble. But in my mind, DK=Houston.

I wish they included his intentional free throw miss then putback for the win against UK. I listened to that with John Ward and have never seen it until I just looked it up and found it. It’s as improbable as John Ward made it sound…

I was in the pep band at this game. It was crazy when Corey Allen's putback went in and he got the plus one to win the game.

Allan didn't make the putback. That was Corey Allen.

So I remembered it was Allan Houston who got the putback. Was I wrong on that?
Yes. I think people got confused because Allan Houston was the FT shooter, but Corey Allen was the one who made the putback and was fouled while doing it. People just heard Allen and immediately thought Houston.

Thinking back on that game, man, that was just over 30 years ago. I want to say that was my freshman year at UT. Seems like a lifetime ago.

I'll admit, I didn't realize it was the same case. I'm a big believer in due process working the majority of the time (even if the outliers are the ones that get talked about the most).

I still don't think Butch's treatment of Drae Bowles was the right way to handle it. Bowles dad was a policeman, Bowles knew what the process was and he was willing to believe someone that was telling him she was a victim. Ultimately, Drae needed to be protected here as he did a very courageous thing by doing what he thought was right.
Or..he was a really naive jealous simp that had a crush on a sloppy ho jock groupie..it was one or the other.

All these years later, and I still don't know how I feel about DB and his actions. I do know that your head will get completely twisted when your heart is involved....he probably just took her word for it out of gullibility shaded by extreme jealousy.

Ultimately...I believe he was trying to be a white knight.

The true details are a lil murky. Did Butch leak it to the rest of the team after telling Bowles to stay hush hush because the team would think he was a traitor? Or did AJ’s buddies find out on their own as it is so easy to do on a college campus? I lean towards the latter and Bowles didn’t help himself by telling a different story to the police than he did testifying during the lawsuit. Kind of a ā€œwere you lying THEN or are you lying NOWā€ debacle.
Yep.

I’m not advocating Terrell Owen’s celebrations in baseball but ejecting kids for bat flips or watching their home run a few seconds too long is reta*ded.
I agree...just saying there is a line, it's hard to quantify...but if you have a modicum of class you know it when you see it.

I hate this garbage too.

Was that the Blizzard of ā€˜93? Think Kentucky paid us back that year 101-40.
Not sure if it was the blizzard. To be honest, I may be mis-remembering the snow. That was a long time ago and some memories are hazy. But I remember being at that game and the incredible ending.

Like for the usage of wanker, yes I know what it means. 😁
