That's the point. You'd be extremely irritated if March madness only had 4 teams and some d2 conf champ who had no chance to beat the 1 seed was one of the 4.

The 4-team limit is the issue here. 8 would solve it, 12 will definitely solve it. There is no perfect answer when you only have 4 spots to work with.

Agree to a point but there will always be people feeling jilted.

Will be in the form of who gets a bye and who doesn't when they go to 12.

Will still be better though! Will have a chance, just might have to win an extra game that someone shouldn't.

Again, that’s why we’re all mad about it. The whole notion of a playoff in college football was: “settle it on the field; not in the papers, not on Twitter, and not in the board rooms.”

Yet we’ve gone right back to beauty pageant football. New boss, old boss.
Then we just need a 133 (or whatever the number is) tournament, but then you’d have to use some metric to determine seeding….

Couple more say they don't fear Milton or our D.. couple more had some sense bout our run game and speed differences. But this guy 😂

Really lame that this Jordan Travis kid would just quit the team in the middle of the season like that.
It really sucks the kid got hurt in a mostly meaningless game, but they absolutely are a different and less talented team without him…and not one of the 4 best teams in the country.

I am amazed at the people who rank teams by individual players on the teams. There are 22 starters on defense and offense plus kicker, punter, deep snapper, and special teams starters. If one of those guys does not do well on enough plays, the entire team loses. To keep undefeated conference champ FSU out because they lost one player, despite winning two important games after that player was lost is corruption at its finest.

If the roles were reversed and that happened to Bama, UGA, Michigan or Ohio State there would be zero doubt they would still be selected.

If it was Clemson, instead of FSU, does the ACC still get a team in to the playoffs?

If yes, does the committee bump texas for bama?

I really, really wish this day would have happened to Clemson/ Dabo. Not because I can't stand them/ him, but I would like to see what the committee would do to one of their playoff "regulars". Norvell ain't got the resume like Sweeney. The FSU QB injury was just a weak excuse to put bama in, what would the CFP crew have done, if it was Clemson? 🤔

We were a different and less talented team when we lost Jamal Lewis.

Zero doubt Bama gets left out if Milroe gets permanently injured at the end of beating UGA instead of Travis being injured for FSU.

Losing a RB is not the same as losing a starting QB in college football. You take Tee off that team and they aren’t going undefeated
You wouldn’t have known that from our and the media’s reaction. People thought our season was gonna go off the rails.

It didn’t.

Also, Florida State was down to their third string QB that year and played us tough in the title game. In a saner time.

I would if they had played a comparable Schedule to Bama. You know, like Florida State.
THIS Florida State team didn’t play that comparable schedule….this team played a pretty bad Florida team and a mediocre (at best) Louisville.

If Jordan Travis was still playing they are ABSOLUTELY one of the 4 best teams in the country.

Sometimes, but there are 68 teams. I can get over not being one of the 35 (or whatever) at large teams. But when you leave it up to humans with bias, this is what you get.
Sure, but they will/do downgrade a team when said team loses a significant contributor.

A #1 seed gets downgraded to a #3 seed, or a team on the bubble gets downgraded out of the tournament.

FSU was on the bubble.

The rankings are all screwed up as well, yes Georgia and Oregon lost, but how does Alabama leap frog others being ranked at #8 in bcs poll? It's a severely flawed system to say the least!!!
