Not in a while. It would have to go through the replay official, but ever since Mike Pereira publicly roasted them for it years ago, I haven't seen anything else on it. Theoretically not allowed at all.

But really, any directives given to the officials would be given before the game, not during.
It looks like from what I can see quickly is that there is the in-stadium replay booth at each game and then the SEC has a separate three-member replay team in Birmingham that "collaborates" with each of the in-stadium crews in real time. So there are three people in Birmingham in on replays calls. And when stoppages for replays are sent down from the booth.

Does that sound normal or weird?

This change appears to have been made in 2016. An Alabama alum who works in Birmingham (Bama-alum central) was put in charge of the remote office from the beginning. His background information in a news article that I read cited his Tuscaloosa Rotary Club biography as their source of information. (He more recently moved on to the national officiating body.)

multiple times

I see their posters going 12 coaches deep on their lists and no mention of Gruden.

They didn't even start 1 new thread, or link to the Grumors that were on Twitter.

This is why they will never be an elite fanbase.
Gruden is old news. He's a washed-up racist as far as this decade is concerned.

No Stoops so joyous.

I can't understand a word they are saying, but the main take away is that (1) its an A&M event and (2) any A&M is always going to be cringy.

Nothing like seeing grown adults singing at the top of their lungs and swaying back and forth in the most awkward way. I am so thankful I didn't go to that school.
