Our POTENTIAL is not 8-4. That is the floor when things are rolling.

Florida and LSU aren't 8-4 programs either! If you're an 8-4 program it means that you cannot compete for championships.

I said 8-4 is our average, I never said it’s our ceiling. It certainly isn’t our floor, nor is it LSU, UF’s or A&M’s. The last 5 years have proven that for all 4 of us. Firing guys for having 8-4 seasons hasnt turned out well for any of us, besides a season at LSU.

You omitted several other:
1)quality lb with speed;
2)legitimate cb’s with speed;
3) safeties who know how to play zone and have speed to play m2m

Did I mention the d needs more speed?

It was either going to be a great year with Milton or we fans were going to have an “I told you so” year about Milton.

Also, not sure how you keep our defensive staff as a whole for next year. 🤷🏻

So they play contain and know that if they are patient he will blow it. Then when he doesn't expect it, they pressure and sack while he panics. Time to move on and forget it all until next season. Beat Candy and enjoy the basketball season.

Sorry, but Heupel is not on the Butch trajectory. He won 11 games last year…not done in 20 years.

With the way our offense is playing, it is not a gimme game. They are coming off of a bye week. They will have tricks up their sleeves to try to upset us. The way we have played the last 2 weeks, I won’t take anything as an automatic.

I agree with everything but the "botch trajectory" comment. Heupel did some dumb things this year with the seniors and game management but he's not Butch Jones dumb.


UT needs to sue the SEC

Yeah this has been a very Butch Jones season by Heupel. Best wins are a UTSA team without their star QB, a mid-UK team, and an A&M team that fired their coach. We struggled to put away teams like UVA and Austin Peay and lost to any team with a pulse in embarrassing fashion each time.

It seems like no adjustments have been made on the offense since the first game. It’s the same bubble screen, inside run, overthrow on third down offense on like 7/10 drives. Occasionally we hit a big play but our offense is stalling out at to high of a rate for it to matter.

Heupel needs an aggressive offseason. He needs to go after all the top DB transfer prospects and throw the money around to bring in whatever elite staff members he can.
