Tennessee offered 4 Star 2020 PG, Sharife Cooper . He has been one of the top players by far through the first 2 sessions in EYBL . He is also the younger brother of former Lady vol Te’a Cooper .

Why would this mean he isn't a silent?


First of all I don't buy the silent commit thing 99% of the time in recruiting anyway but the few times it happens kids continue to take visits

If you’re taking visits you’re not committed. Don’t care if you are a verbal or a silent. If you’re still visiting then you’re not committed.

Recruits do that all the time when they are committed to another school. It’s a free trip. Why not take it?

Btw I’m not saying he is committed just that you are wrong per usual.

Would love a list of some committed basketball players who went on to take OV elsewhere after committing.

I thought we were talking about “silent” commits? Do they have a list for those guys?

So you’re saying that a kid can’t know where he is for sure going to go and take additional visits?

If I were a highly sought after recruit I would ultimately commit to the school I loved (UT) but I would still take free visits to other schools before doing so.

The only reason the cat is supposedly silent is so he can run AAU ball supposedly. If that were the case he wouldn’t be visiting schools. I no longer buy him being a silent.

Basketball isn’t the same as football. Basketball commits shut it down. It more closely resembles football QB recruiting.

Sure he can. Just doesn't happen much in hoops


A better topic is why on earth would this kid be a silent to us? Barnes doesn't strike me as a coach that would play that game anyway
