"Malcolm Wilson is a 6-foot-10, 205 pound center out of Columbia, South Carolina. Right now he’s rated as just a three-star, but the consensus among high school basketball analysts is that he could be in store for a big jump this summer.

The Vols have yet to offer Wilson, but the fact that they’re using an in-home visit with him certainly shows that they’re very interested in him. He currently has offers from Clemson, Georgetown, VCU, South Carolina, and Georgia Tech."

Backup to Burns imo

Should Lecque have his win thread? Or is he too much of a long shot?

"Lecque has been pursued heavily by the Vols over the last few months. He unofficially visited the Vols back on January 6th, and Tennessee visited him on March 22nd. He recently picked up an offer from Louisville and adds their offer to an already huge list that includes Villanova, Xavier, Auburn, Florida, UConn, Kansas, Syracuse, and Miami among many others."

Ok so as a whole you are fine with us having 1 top 100 player at gaurd(i am
Counting Pons) with the rest being 100-150??

If that is the case I agree with you wholeheartedly and have zero reason to believe Barnes can't continue the status quo

None of your posting makes sense.

1. Pons is a 3 and would consider him a forward more than a wing.

2. The rest aren't 100-150. Jalen is 130 and Bone is 146. The rest of the guys we have had at guard in the Barnes era are unranked. That's across the board. Not just guards.

3. I'm not against guys ranked 100-150. I'm not willing to add a concrete line and say I only want guys from such and such ranking. That's dumb. I've simply said he needs to do better. And guess what? He's going to. You Barnes worshippers who are interested only in protecting him from criticism are so freaking paranoid that you can't stand anyone pointing out shortcomings. That's why you do things like start threads titled "lengthy standing ovation" 30 seconds after a terrible loss that ended the season.

I throw the 1-3 guys in as guards but that is ok if you want throw out Pons.

Who else is on our roster besides Bowden, Bone, turner, Pons, and Johnson?

Bowden was ranked 187 so if you want a hard line at 150 so be it but the point remains.

Give me guys just like the ones we have and we all
Should be happy. They weren't great on paper but have been plenty good on the court. Paper doesn't matter.

You have said many times we have to do better and I disagree strongly

90 AJ Green Northern Iowa...starter Juwan McCloud returns
93 David Dejulius Michigan...starter Zavier Simpson returns
94 Jaelin Llewellyn Princeton...likely starter
95 Prentiss Hubb Notre Dame...starter Temple Gibbs returns
98 Kendric Davis TCU...starter Jaylen Fisher returns
99 Robert Phinisee Indiana...starter Devonte Green returns
100 Tyger Campbell UCLA...likely starter
125 Jared Butler Alabama...return Dazon Ingram
129 Alex Lomax Memphis...return Jeremiah Martin, add Tyler Harris
133 Jordan Lathon Northwestern...likely starter
139 Logan Johnson Cincinnati...returns Justin Jennifer
143 Jordan McCabe West Virginia...likely starter
147 Marcus Zegarowsmi Creighton...returns Davion Mints
150 Tyrese Halliburton Iowa State...returns Lindell Wigginton

So 4/14 of these guys walk into situations without much competition ahead of them...and I didn’t did far enough to see if any of those 4 have PG’s on the roster that maybe redshirted or didn’t play much this season but were highly ranked.

He has said over and over and over Barnes must improve recruiting. Our guards on the current roster are filled with 75-150 guys.

We all can agree we need to keep it that way. If so Barnes doesn't need to improve his recruiting just maintain it which Ziti has repeatedly disagreed with

How many Top 150 guards do we have?

The crazy think about this top 150 talk is unless something has changed multiple services don't even rank players past 100.

Is that still true?

You asking this question tells me how much you know about ranked players and where they commit to play to.

All but one and that's Bowden

Turner is debateable because of his reclassifying, but if you give that one and reword...how many Top 125 guards do we have it eliminated the bulk of that group.

With that said, I don’t think many people have much issue with Bone/Turner, I think most would sign up for 2 more of them.
