Freshman PG or just freshman in general? I agree we need a freshman, I’ve been big on balancing the classes, but to me I would almost say a freshman 6’10”+ athletic big is more important than a freshman PG. I would probably say give me a grad transfer PG and freshman big if it’s one of each, ideally though I would take both as freshman.

Also....I don't want some leftover who we find in the second semester of their senior year.

Rather just wait til the next year if that's what we can get.

Samford is on the schedule for next season so there is some worry that they will block Tennessee as one of the schools he can’t go to...that’s where things seemingly are right now, if Coleman has his heart set on Tennessee (not sure why he would) I would assume the 2 schools will find a resolution.

Some obscure rule that if they’ve transferred before they can, which Coleman has, from Alabama to Samford.

Now the kid that just announced today he was leaving Samford and being a grad transfer is a first time, so they can’t block him from Tennessee. Maybe the idiocy of blocking 1 and not the other prompts them to not block Coleman, but we shall see.

I’m saying I don’t want some 200+ ranked kid with a weak offer list that we uncover in April.

I was using him more as an example, but I do think he’s someone that’s worth keeping in mind...not saying they’re pushing for him but I think it’s someone they might consider if some others don’t go our way.

James Banks just announced he is leaving Texas, someone asked me recently who I would want, this guy goes right to the top of my board.


Would have to sit out this season but would immediately step in and fill Alexander’s spot at the 5 with 2 years remaining. Tennessee recruited him out of high school and he’s from Georgia, could be one to watch, I hope.
