Lord. Just assumed with the Crystal Ball prediction. One guy Stirn has him 100% FS.
who was it said 247 is a sham?

The picks for FSU are about a year and a half old, that's one of the things with the crystal bal, you're awarded more points for being the first guy right. A year and a half ago maybe it seemed inevitable FSU would offer and so guys jumped on it and now want to keep their pick hoping he gets an offer, because then they'll look "like geniuses".

Makes sense. Explain something else to a dufus?
Why would Polley drop to a 3 star on their national rank board. Just noticed that when you pointed out the #78 ranking for Stokes.

Not really sure, he has seemingly had a very strong summer so no explanation for the drop.

It's getting thin. I wonder if it makes any sense to save one or both 2017 scholarships for the 2018 signing class. Or maybe grab another grad transfer or two in the spring.

Huh? We still have multiple guys on the board, and only 2 scholarships to fill, why would we even discuss holding scholarships at this point?

I meant that the list is thinning out. If it ends up being only players similar to what we already have, then it could make more sense to pass on tying up scholarships if it's possible that there will be better players on the 2018 board. I have no idea how the total 2017 group compares to the 2018 group. If 2018 is better, then going after 2 or 3 of those could be smarter than only one.

We are targeting guys with size; Polley, Stokes and Uyaelunmo all fit the "needing to add size"' criteria. If we can land any of those 2 you absolutely take them and don't hold the scholarship IMO.

I'm not disputing that. I'm saying if the three that have upcoming visits scheduled pass on UT, then it might be time to seriously consider going after more than one in 2018 instead of settling with a leftover 2017 player or two. That list that I commented on is getting mighty short. Which of the 3 have the shortest list of schools they're considering... isn't TN one if 6 or so on each list? Does TN lead on any of the three?

I agree with that line of thinking, although I would still probably keep my options open for the spring signing period.

Those 3 have OV's scheduled, so you can make a case to say they're all at least considering 5 schools, as for TN leading...no inside info or anything, but in summary from VQ: If Tyler Polley makes it to UT's campus (he's at UCONN right now) then the Vols have a very good chance to land him. Tennessee is the likely leader for Victor Uyelunmo, he has a few visits before UT so we'll see...Stokes is interesting, you'd think he would be the best shot for the Vols but the UNC offer has obviously caught his eye, will be a battle for that one.

If Kesling has a veto or a mulligan, he'll block Uyelunmo. I can't even read that name. I can't imagine Kesling being able to say it out loud.

New rivals rankings are out, Tyler Polley is the only top 150 guy on our board and he checks in at #98...little surprised no Stokes, injury to Uyaelunmo seems to have dropped in most services.

Something I've always wanted to ask, why a "?" At the end? That's not a question. Lol

It was a question, just not a grammatically correct one, would you like to me start policing your grammar? (See that's a question :) )

I was basically asking Ziti why the "pitiful" response now, when nothing I posted is new info, except for the fact Polley has moved up?

nah, that's ok lol. It has just always puzzled me.lol

Haven't read the thread. Hoping someone will cater to my laziness. What's the general feeling about Barnes's recruiting so far? I've been underwhelmed.

I honestly thought recruiting would be his strength and defended his hire on that basis.

About the same feeling. Almost everybody is let down.
