No doubt. He hasn't been one to just take visita and he's been quiet about his recruitment, so definitely a positive development.

With Uyaelunmo only having 1 official scheduled and that to Tennessee, VQ saying Polley is also slated for that weekend and the news on Stokes...definitely some optimism for the '17 class.

What a pathetic argument. The agenda is so obvious. No one has ever claimed Rick Barnes single-handedly put Durant in the league, but that is your go-to dig.

The person that I quoted seems to disagree with your statement and furthermore there are many others on this board that believe the college coach is a main factor in the process.

A coach has very little, if anything, to do with developing of an athlete's potential. It is the athlete who has the desire and competitive drive to excel that is the reason for their success.

The only thing that a coach can do is to put an athlete in a position to expose their talent to the powers that be at the next level, which aids them in promotion to that level.

This is what happened for Josh Richardson, who always had explosive offensive abilities. It was when his defensive quickness was exposed by playing pg that the pros set up and took notice. He would have eventually made it to the NBA, but the route would have been more arduous. His signing bonus probably would not have been as high, also.

JRich was ALWAYS a great defensive player, and it didn't matter the position. He DEVELOPED into a great offensive player.

That example is beyond stupid.

Josh has said that it was his ability to make things happen by breaking on the ball and forcing many steals, which led to easy baskets from his point guard position which brought attention to his defensive prowess.

He also was given the opportunity to find open teammates to assist in point production as well as being able to see the defense more clearly which gave him the opportunity to drive the basketball to the goal and score high percentage layups.

I don't recall anyone saying that they believed that he was a future NBA draft pick prior to the 2015 selection affair, when he was chosen in the 2nd round.

Furthermore, we would have not won 16 games his senior year if Donnie had denied his plea to play pg.

Which is why he should be ignored. He's not a Vol fan, he's merely going to keep doing the same crap over and over; which is with every reply either work in a way to bash Barnes, praise Tyndall, or both, then act like he's not.
