Man. When are you going to grow up. Sorry I usually do not say anything but you sir are really showing how young and immature you really are. Smh

SMH for someone getting bothered by a message board..who cares. You probably don't get bothered when someone replies TWSS on posts. And those are adults saying that...

Exactly. People get their panties up their crack over a stupid joke.

Not really. What bothers me is the immaturity kids have today and that every remark like the one BTO made was clearly just his thoughts. And one person could read the whole post and pick out a part of a sentence such as the one referenced and make a joke out of it.

Get off my lawn

My philosophy on jokes of any type: A joke is just a joke cause..........ITS JUST A DANGED JOKE.

Per Rob Lewis Tennessee plans to go watch and try to get involved with former Indiana big man Emmit Holt. He played as a freshman at IU, was dismissed, and has spent his sophomore season at one of the best JUCO's in the country Indian Hills. He's 6'7" 230lbs, averaged 11.6ppg 6.4rpg 74%ft also led all of NJCAA in fg% at over 70% on the season. He would also be a junior which will help space out some of the classes a bit, right now Mostella is the only upcoming junior expected to be here.

Reminds me of an Armani Moore style of play, 15 feet and in typically, great hustle and effort, can handle the ball a bit. Obviously his size is better than Moore's, if he can be a 4 I think he could be a nice player, at the 5 he's obviously a bit undersized ideally. Lanier & Oliver have ties to the kid as he's from near Buffalo, NY fwiw.

Anybody know anything about Moses Brown?
MOSES BROWN WANTS TO VISIT MARYLAND, KANSAS

Moses Brown, a 6-11 sophomore big man from Molloy, holds offers from St. John's, Minnesota, Iona and St. Peter's.

"The other day Minnesota offered me, St. John's," Brown said. "High interest from Kansas, UConn, Tennessee, Maryland."

Georgetown is also interested now.

Brown said he hopes to visit a couple schools soon.

"Definitely I'm going to visit Kansas and Maryland soon," said Brown, who went for 11 rebounds, 6 points and 6 blocks against Iona Prep. "I want to become more versatile and also work on my speed.

What was he dismissed for?

So if we take this kid, and only one player from the current team leaves, that would mean we only have one scholarship left...correct? I would rather have a big man with more center size.

Adding Holt & Bowden seems to be what you're referencing, definitely not ideal as far as size goes, makes one wonder if there's more attrition? You would have to think this staff is holding a spot for Yurtseven, or have they been told no, you can't fill up and have no plan if come May Yurtseven wants to be a Vol.

Only averaging 11ppg and 6rpg as a 6'7 230lb big man? That's not encouraging. It's hard to think that would translate positively in a big-man league. Usually stats go down from JUCO to D1 Power Schools (I think we had this conversation when Punter came here).

The shooting percentage is encouraging. Its just hard for me to imagine him doing better than 11ppg and 6rpg in the SEC.

He very well may not do better, but we currently don't have an 11&6 big man, so even if he gave that it would be an improvement. It's worth noting Indian Hills is deep, they play a bunch of guys and Holt was towards the top in minutes a game with only 20, if he played 30mpg it's likely those numbers are 15&10, so that's worth mentioning IMO.

I like him as a player, but as I mentioned in my OP that's ideally as a 4, if he's having to play the 5 we are still undersized, even if he is 230lbs.

Same types of things were said at Kasongo, no? And if he's averaging 11&6 in JUCO, that would probably translate to something like 8&4 or 9&5. At that point its worth saving a scholarship.

If he isn't dominating for minutes in JUCO, its hard to see he'd beat out our roster for minutes.

I'm not looking for every little thing to criticize the big men we're recruiting, but it doesn't seem like we're targetting quality big men. (Other than Yurtseven). We need a dominant defensive big man, or an offensive big man. Not these random guys who can't even average a double-double in JUCO.
