Williams-6'6 if that, very high IQ, very strong, will be very steady offesive player in the half court. Didn't sound like he thought an up tempo game was good for him

I think you're seeing Barnes add some half court guys, I don't think you're gonna see his future teams necessarily play at the pace of this years team. I don't think you're going to see Tyndall/Martin type slow down, but I think this will likely be his most uptempo team at Tennessee.

Barnes said in pregame, to win on the road you need the big guy that you can throw it into when the shots aren't falling.
Who besides Reese and AS will get a shot to do that this game?
Is Pittman available?

It was a hypothetical if I could trade him for Reese that I would've, thought that was clear. We don't have that guy which is why you've seen front court guys juggled and now going small, we have nobody that can do that, the best back to the basket player we have is Hubbs.

is that an unteachable skill?

Agreed to some extent but the rest of the class seems to fit the mold to run

We have 2 legitimate PG's those guys can play a slower style and facilitate, or you can even go 2 PG and really push, it allows some options. Again, I'm not suggesting that Barnes is gonna become Tyndall in his philosophies on offense, but not having a go to back to the basket guy is something hurting this team.

Yup. You have to run and gun if you have Parker, and Johnson.

I don't think Johnson sees the floor much next year, and Parker will not be handed anything. Many thought Mostella was gonna be awesome, he's just now starting to come around, this isn't high school ball where you can just run by or jump over every player.

Fair enough for sure

I will say I don't think the style we are seeing now is really "running". It's faster than we are used to for sure but it's more the norm in college basktball than being fast

I don't think he does either, though I think he has the most raw potential of any of them. There's something different with Parker, he has more than just dunks. He can pass, shoot, score, defend, rebound, almost anything. Where as, mostella came in basically just a dunker/shooter (if you can call him a shooter.)

This guy seems to have enough ability help us if he loses 60 lbs. He has a major turnover problem, though. Multiple games this season with 6+ turnovers which is a crazy number considering his mpg.

He should play point guard then, works for Westbrook :) lol jk.

I've never once mentioned his ranking, but he has a very good offer list, which you yourself have said in the past speaks louder than rankings, yet in this case you now wanna dismiss the offers, shocker.

His minutes are due to him being out of shape, Kasongo's minutes were not due to that, it was performance based, pretty big difference. Look up Dexter Pittman who played for Barnes, started out his career as a 350lbs over weight center, never became a 35mpg guy, but became a 20mpg post presence for Barnes at Texas and ended up getting drafted in the first round of the NBA draft.
I remember you were arguing Ray Kasongo's 40mpg stats acting like if he were in good enough shape to handle the minutes, that you could see him being productive. You change your tune awfully fast.

You've got the wrong person, Kasongo's conditioning was never really a question. I did expect much more from Kasongo that what we've gotten, but conditions wasn't ever something I questioned from him that I recall.
