Recruiting Discussion

How in the world do we know who set up the visit? Not sure why it matters anyway

Since you bring up common sense it appears to me an 18year old kid just taking visits for fun as you have posted would pick a weekend where there was fun to be had. OU, Ark, or Georgia weeks would appear would have been my choice.

Seems much much more likely that the staff initiated the visit for this weekend than he to me considering they knew the bad news of Jenkins and potentially others.

Per Rob Lewis the visit was not "set up on Tennessee's part", so yes, it definitely sounds like my theory that Blackwell set that date would seem accurate. RL went on to say the 2 sides are discussing a possible visit in October, which just further solidifies that they want answers from many others before they'd be willing to take him.

Yes, the program has been in dismay ever since pearl, but it's been proven you can recruit to Tennessee. Tyndall proved that in a way, and hopefully Barnes can figure that out.

Your argument wasn't that it had been proven that you can recruit to Tennessee though. You claimed it "wasn't very hard to recruit to Tennessee", and I don't think that's true.

Tyndall didn't really disprove that at all either. He grabbed the first 7 warm bodies he could find to fill out a roster that returned 4 players from the season before. His biggest "get" (Clarke) lasted less than a week as a commit. Now some of those guys he landed may turn out to be decent players, but I don't think any of them scream NBA draft pick after one season, and nearly half of them have left for one reason or another.

Barnes has a long way to go to start to help support your theory too.

Punter will be a d-league player, baulk has potential to be an nba player,as does Detrick.

D-League is Punter's absolute ceiling, and it's still not the NBA.

Baulkman was 7th on a pretty bad Tennessee team in minutes played, and you think he has NBA potential going into his SR year? Really?

Mostella has the goods, but he needs a lot of work in the weight room, in the gym getting up shots to improve his perimter accuracy, and improvement on the defensive end. His youth provides him the greatest chance of those three players, but even his chances are remote.

All that said, it still doesn't really prove your point that Tennessee isn't hard to recruit to.

Baulkman was hurt. Watching him workout this offseason he's gotten a smooth stroke and has crazy hops, he will be a surprise.

No offense Dallas, but you see yourself as an NBA player. So, pardon me if I take your talent evaluations and projections with a grain of salt.

Welcome to how we all feel trying to have a discussion with Dallas

I have a question for you, do you act the way you do on here in public? If you do, somebody is gonna knock you silly one day. But you're probably too big of a coward to do anything face to face. Not trying to be the "internet tough guy." But I'm tired of your arrogant, snarky remarks, I'm sure everybody else is too. It's like you expect everybody to Agree with you, newsflash: they won't. And when you're proven wrong, you result to name calling and ignoring the situation, like that list? Say you Know Austin Nichols, getting called out on it, then tucking your tail between your legs. Also saying this "I hope every other Tennessee coach fails." Which don't ask for a link, because when I bumped it, it was automatically deleted, did somebody not like being the b**** for once? To be made look foolish? Grow up or shut up.

You miss my post about Blackwell-Key?

Nah.

Was pointless to discuss. Which nearly all these post have been

Proves nothing and even if it did it doesn't matter anyway.

Blackwell recruitment is dead and in hindsights that is a huge mistake by the staff

How's the recruitment dead if the two sides are still working on a possible visit? Thought it was Blackwell who cancelled the visit, now he still wants to visit? In hindsight I think we'll say we would've rather had Fulkerson than Blackwell.

I would like to have both
