Just give me a true center and I'll be happy. A PG would be nice as well but we need at least one guy over 6'10"
Walters could be a force if donnie could teach him to play without fouling out in 15 minutes.
Several double doubles this season. Had a 27 point game against Motlow in february.

Motlow is a very good JUCO school, aren't they? Have some pretty good players.

Walters does have a nice jumper . That guy could be huge for us , no pun intended

Yes, if I'm not mistaken, that's where dequon goes to

Walters and Miller would both sign if offered.
Scratching my head as to why they don't think Dequon fits the system. 44% 3pt shooter. Has had games where he scores 20 and still has close to 10 assists.

I say there's more to it, we'll see once miller goes where he's going

We haven't offered Walters yet?

Miller has been offered according to 247, but Walters has yet to be offered.

Walters lost a bunch of weight in the offseason and also worked on his shooting form.. Thats why he's doing well now. Last year at this time, if you said Cuonzo was looking at Brandon Walters everyone would be like "wtf are you serious". Thats how much Walters has changed since then.

He doesn't look overweight in those highlights

He was tipping 300 coming out of high school.
Looks like he's taken conditioning seriously.
Don't think he'd get pushed around in the paint.
Don't think he has the potential talent Dom had, but haven't read anything bad about his attitude.
He'd give our young studs a couple of years to grow up and out, with less pressure.

I would love it if we took Hicks, and Walters from Walters state. Hicks is a 6-8 205 forward who has gaurd shooting skills, and Walters is a 6-11 285 center which is something we definitely need. I hope we land those two and Gray to end this recruiting cycle. If we got those guys here is what are recruiting cycle would look like.

Brandon Walters**** 6-11 285lbs PF
Shembari Phillips*** 6-4 185lbs SG
Admiral Schofield*** 6-5 220lbs SF
Rob Gray NR(juco) 6-1 170lbs CG(combo gaurd)
Hicks NR(juco) 6-8 205lbs SF/PF

That would cover all bases, and also this:

2 frosh(Phillips, and Phillips)
1 soph(Hicks)
2 Juniors(Gray, and Walters)

IMO that addresses all needs in this class, and adds some key pieces for the next few years. This is my recruiting wish list, because I know it'd be hard to get much better than this. I really hope this is the class we're able to get.

I think Gray will be a Sophomore(RS) next season.

Did you guys know Braxton Bonds had offers from MTSU and LSU, because I didn't lol. ESPN and 247 both say they offered Bonds. I wonder how hard Braxton is working to become a starter next year?

Why the hell would he go to Liberty over LSU lol.

Well for a young kid I'm sure there are many reasons for a decision like that. Proximity to home, his chosen major he wants to take, etc. I think the reason he transferred to Tennessee was to be closer to home. He was rated 81(3star) according to 247, so he isn't just some garbage player. I honestly think he can develop into a dependable point guard for us.

If he was a good shooter he would be a top rated player. His shooting is not very good something hopefully he can improve. He can definitely pass and handle the ball. He will play some minutes for us hopefully he can improve his shooting because he could earn a scholarship here down the line. Regardless he is not financially strapped with Barry Bonds there to take care of all his needs.

If he gives us a good 2:1 or 2.5:1 Assist to Turnover Ratio plus around 8 points a game then he will be a major asset. We don't need him to have 5 TO games.

So where are we at with recruting? Which players are most likely to sign? And when is the deadline for signing?

And is Bonds gonna be on scholly next year? He's our only PG and he gave up a scholarship to come sit out

Fwiw LSU offered all 5 starters his Senior Year on his team, no telling how commitable that offer was.

Don't be so quick to write him off just because he was a 3 star. Richardson was a 3 star too, and I believe he was one of the higher rated 3 stars like Bonds. If he stays, he will earn a scholarship here. I believe most people will be quite surprised about his abilities.
