Recruiting Discussion

I get what you’re saying, I’m simply saying I haven’t seen anyone else OV’ing football or basketball that is a 2019 recruit...to any school...have you?

No but I’m not following it closely at all like I used to. I think it’s a new thing that’s being introduced this year.

I’m not 100% on it but I’ve heard Hubbs talk about OV being in the spring and wondering how the coaches would manage that.

It definitely seems to be the case, just seems very rare...Tennessee obviously feels they can lock him up this weekend or no way they are using it this early.

It would be rare because it’s brand new.

Still seems rare though, as I said I’ve yet to see anyone else OV across the country. Tennessee football signs 25 and hasn’t brought anyone in on an OV, so add in both sports and Burns being the first is seemingly the exactly definition of it being rare.

You realize I mean new as in this being the first semester you could do it right?

I don’t think it’s gonna be as common an occurrence as fall OV but still....it’s early. I’d say you’ll see a handful but not a ton. Especially this year.

Gotta think it’s a great sign for us though if he OV.

The connection is that fake TN fans go out of their way to bash those players more than any of the others. What connection are you making?

I think he is saying you only defend the white players.

To his point when people were bashing Bowden really hard during the SEC tournament you were oddly quiet.

Now maybe this can get back to recruiting talk and leave the childish banter for the Fire Holly threads.

You started the childish banter. Got BT-owned and now want to bow out.

The irony of all this is that I see you constantly complaining about people arguing in here, and then you start an argument about Lew.

I defended Bowden's defense. I've criticized his inability to make shots while moving. He's a starter, so he should contribute more offensively... but I'm not going to call for him to be cut from the team.

There is no comparison of the sh!t that gets said about Fulkerson and what is said about Bowden. Lew Evans too. As soon as those two entered games the dumb **** from the dumbest posters begins. Kent has played 13 mop up minutes and some of the board dolts are calling for him to leave.

Show me one post suggesting that Bowden should not be on the roster... show one saying that he's not worthy of being on an SEC roster. There's no screeching about running off Bowden... very little about putting him on the bench. There's a lot of garbage posting directed at those 3 players. Maybe the posters are being racist by implying that Evans, Fulk, and Kent can't play. Guess what? They are all part of an SEC championship team.

FTR, Jalen Johnson is my favorite player on the roster.

Is that oddly loud enough for you?

To be fair, TGO has also been Darrington’s biggest supporter.

BTO started the childish banter by insulting me instead of keeping the conversation oprn without insults. So dont tell me i started crap. Every time someone has an opinion opposite on here someone has to start personal insults instead of discussions. And BTO doesnt own crap.

Yeah, TGO takes up for every UT player, even Derek Reese when I ripped him a couple of years ago. Plus, I know TGO loves JJ, as do I. Imo, TGO is a lot of things, but white player apologist, is not one of those things

I was probably Darrington's biggest supporter coming in.
I still think he could contribute next season if he can recover from the off the court issues that seemed to be a drain on his focus and want-to this year. A big part of this game is mental.
I wish him the best no matter what he decides to do.
