I don't know which side of the fire Phil argument that this supports, but here is some info:
There are 119 Division I-A football teams. Including Tennessee, there are 36 teams (30.25%) that have won at least 9 games this year.
Also, there are 25 teams (21.01%) that won at least 10 games this year.
I do feel that Fulmer does not deserve any kind of a raise for a 9 win season, when over 30% of Division I-A football won 9 games or more. To me, a raise would show that Mike Hamilton is happy with just having an average football team.
