well, that's the rub right? the only thing we get is the one or two periods the media sees, which is usually routes on air.I hope to God their idea of practice isnt JG passing at air with no pressure, cause his play sure reflects that. They need to be throwing dbs at his face on the practice field and scrimmage their little hearts out. Make him progress through his reads over and over again. They're probably already doing this. I just find it unfathomable how something hasn't clicked for him by now.
but that's not all they're doing in the rest of the practice, they're doing 11 on 11 and all that stuff you mention and film study.
and all the feedback was really positive on JG thru out the pre season.
i think from what the coaches saw in practice and in meetings and film study, they're probably more surprised than we are at the production during the game and just the overall lack of vision and game management.
i don't know if he gets better or not, can't tell you that.....i don't have hte warm fuzzies about it though.
i feel fairly confident in saying though, if either Shrout or Maurer realistically gave this staff any inkling that they would be better, or that they would improve our chances of winning, they'd play that kid and sit JG.
and that may still happen if something doesn't change quickly.....just can't see it right now....i would expect/hope that at least one of the back ups gets some...hopefully lots of.... reps this week.
but i don't see any real chance at putting one of the freshman on the field at the swamp in their firs start. dont' see that at all.
