I'm sure many of you have realized how many starters we're losing after 2013. How well have we recruited to replace these guys in 2014?

Tyler Bray--think we'll be okay at QB in 2014.

Raijon Neal--Could really use a premier tailback in the 2013 class who could be ready to take the baton from Neal and go. Should have plenty of backups. I'm crossing my fingers that we will be better at RB in 2014 than in 2012.

Stone, Fulton, James, and possibly Tiny--I'm sure Crowder and Jackson will be ready. I see a drop-off on the OL in 2014, especially at tackle if we lose Tiny, too. Too much starting experience gone.

C. Patterson--I think Hunter leaves after 2012. If Cordarelle lives up to expectations, I don't think we can replace him. However, getting Jatavius Stewart would make me feel a lot better. Will have more WR's with experience in 2014 than we do this year. Should be some talent in the mix, as well. I think we'll be okay at WR in 2014..

Sentimore, McCullers, Couch, Walls, Hood--I'd feel a lot better if we sign Toby Johnson and Rod Crayton in 2013 to go along with Carr and Bradley. More than likely we see a drop-off after losing this many important players on the DL.

Jacques Smith, (and A.J. Johnson could leave early)--Several backups will also graduate--Sapp, Fugate, King, Crump, and Probst. Have to trust the coaches that the guys we've got coming in 2013 will be ready to play in 2014. And that Bynum and Lewis are good. I do see a drop-off in 2014 at linebacker if Johnson leaves. Sure would like to get Carl Lawson to put at jack, but I'm not holding out hope.

Brewer, Gordon, Moore--If we sign Miles, Reeves-Maybin, and Bell in 2013 and put them with Randolph, McNeil, and Thomas, I don't see a drop-off at safety.

Michael Palardy--If he is good his last two years here, we could miss him in 2014. Otherwise, we may not.

That's a lot of talent and experience to replace. Hopefully, we can fill those gaps with people better in a few cases, and nearly as good in most others. We won't lose any starters at TE and CB after 2013, but we desperately need some good players at those positions.

If we have a successful year this season then we will have sophomores on our roster who will be ready to step in and contribute big time.

Even though we are losing a lot after next season, there should be more establish depth. Look for juco's to continue to be recruited.

We will be fine. Dooley has recruited well and he will continue to do so. Reload is my vote.

Rebuild or reload? How about neither. Nathan Peterman is going to be shredding SEC defenses on his way to a NC in 2014.

Bring on the Vol Legacies. But really...as someone stated before, winning this season is a MUST.

Reload come 2014. The defense will be the strength of the team that year. And with some health and more talent at LB will be a Top 5-10 unit easy.

Edit: Secondary will be one of the better units in the country. D-line will have Omari Phillips, O'Brien, and Taylor in their third years. The LBs are the unit I'm in question about. The offensive line is the other unit I'm a bit concerned about. But every other unit will be ready to roll.

I agree. However, I think the o-line will be solid as well. Last year was the first year in a few that we've been able to RS o-lineman, lineman who were really talent might I add. In 14 those dudes will be experienced, primed, and ready to go. JMO

Got an entire 2 seasons to play and another recruiting class with a coach on the hot seat to deal with before we get to 2014

With Dooley remaining, it will be reloading. If the AD is stupid and relieves Dooley, it will be rebuilding.

It will be a reload. May not be at a NC level yet....but hopefully SECC level and getting close to NC level.

Go Vols and hurry up and get here Friday!

Just like Jeff Driskel...

Not saying I doubt Peterman. Just saying recruiting hype is not a given for on-the-field success.

What about coaching hype? Didn't Chaney say these were the best 3 qb's he has ever had?

If your at the SEC Championship level, you're at the National Championship level. One is not exclusive from the other.
