I do not know this but compare 200 yard games of those three to Foster.... Over the same number of games. Better yet. Webb and Cobb in the same backfield 100 yd games each...

The only 200+ yard game for Foster that I can remember for Foster is Vandy 05.

Stephens well, we all know UF 2001.

Foster hasn't been great against big time teams unless it's UGA. 6 tds in 2 years.

they feasted on weak and strong competition...that was what i was trying to get at

And we've been spoiled by watching them do that.

Foster has been mediocre against big teams (exception being UGA).

Therein lies the talent gap.

Bringing up all these names, had me thinking of these videos.

YouTube - UF vs. UT 2001...The Run
YouTube - Stephens 35yrd TD 2001 UF vs. UT

Great memories!

As for Foster, he has been really good this year. Him looking back does seem to be a problem, which is usually fixed at the High School level, so I'm not sure why he is still doing that in College Football. I'm not gonna complain about him juking, considering he does make guys miss on occasion. Creer's future looks bright though.

:cray: Those were beautiful

Travis Stephens, Jamal Lewis, Chuck Webb, Reggie Cobb, Aaron Hayden, James Stewart, Charlie Garner, Jay Graham etc.

You put any of these backs on the Field against any competition and you were 80 to 100% certain you were going to have a 100yd performance. You cannot say that about Foster. Foster it is about 30 to 40% and I know it depends on play calling but some of these backs played with QBs better than EA..

IMO, Rogan could be the best back we have if we would play him. He's fast and has great moves.:superman:

yeah he's slow. Thats what I liked about Coker he could run away from everybody. Maybe Creer can fill that role.

We need Rogan in the Defensive backfield more than we need him in the offensive backfield

Travis Henry was slow as an SEC back also.. Sr year he picked up the pace.

Maybe, but Creer is not the future, he's way to slow. Why was Creer kick returning he dropped 2 yesterday. Berry needs to be returning with Rogan. We have plenty of young D backs Rogan ain't that needed.

BTW, i heard Hardesty is really trying to transfer to UNC

Creer is just as fast as Rogan. He isn't slow by any means. This year we were very thin in the DB. We needed Rogan there. Doubt he changes next year. He's good as a DB. Why would Hardesty transfer? Does he want to be injured on a lesser team?

He wants to waste a year of eligibility and only have his senior year to play.

He's not going anywhere and if he does it will be an extremely stupid move on his part.

Tim, Creer got caught from behind did you not see that !!! Why do you think they didn't kick to Rogan once.

If Hardesty wants to go let him.. He is still young and as far as I can tell we dont need him.. He shows flashes, but then he gets hurt. We've got that Cooper boy for a thunder type back and we are supposed to be looking at that Taureen Poole guy so. I really don't care abt. Hardesty..

funny story...I was talking to some non-ut fans who are good friends of mine about our NC season. Talking about how Jamal Lewis went down in the first few games. Then I said Travis Henry was his backup and they just flipped out. One NFL back goes down, another one came in. The look on their faces was priceless :eek:hmy:. They are mizzou fans though, so they aren't used to the whole being good thing.

This is what a power back looks like:

J-train

Foster is a large finesse back that has a good runners sense. He is just a hair too slow for the SEC defenses he sees weekly (compared to Mcfadden or Holliday).

I'd still take Foster over many of the other backs in the SEC. I'd put him 3rd or 4th on my list. It is hard to say with Holiday due to his size and he hasn't proven anything yet except he can fumble and run real fast.

1. McFadden
2. Moreano
3. Holliday
4. Foster
5. Hester strictly a workhorse.(great numbers due to overtimes and his team being good)
