Don’t remember contending that Arik Gilbert OR BJ Ojulari OR White OR any key members of the team having no effect. Talented teams have been known to finish short if the quarterback doesn’t do his part tho. So when he does WEEK AFTER WEEK it would be nice (for a change) to not have it downplayed. Might be too much to ask of you but it would be nice.
I agree Marietta has some very good players, but a great receiver can't be a great receiver if the qb can't get him the ball. On the other side the receivers help the qb perform better because they do catch it when thrown to them. So they are all helping each other to be and look better. Football is still a team sport. It took the team playing as a team to be state champs, just as it does in all team sports.
