I gotta disagree. Maurer played Edgewater every year his entire career. Edgewater gave Merietta all they could handle this year and Bailey certainly didn’t throw for over 400 yards against them. But this isn’t about Maurer. It’s about you attacking that man the same way you have others over anything can be portrayed as negative regarding Bailey. I told you before that you are good at subtly protecting Bailey while not having the same energy for anyone else. You told me I was FOS and I let it be but now you’re doing it again. The dude didn’t say, at any time, that Bailey wasn’t everything people expect. He said the competition was weak in comparison and that’s been the case every single week. It’s not a shot at Bailey himself to state the obvious.

Talented teams have been known to finish short if the quarterback doesn’t do his part tho. So when he does WEEK AFTER WEEK it would be nice (for a change) to not have it downplayed. Anybody else sensing this could be another year like Peyton's freshman season. A number of upperclassmen ahead of him but fate or destiny could throw him into the mix early. Hope he is ready.

I refuse to compare any kid to Peyton. He was a once in a lifetime player. There’ll never be another one just like him. Just let him be himself.

When you spend as much time with qbs as I have and witness the difference in talent levels from every age group you become hard to impress. If you think my evaluation of him is high you would freak if you seen my evaluations of Justin Fields.

Doesn’t mean I personally haven’t evaluated him and Trevor Lawrence. Remember about a year ago me being attacked over saying Lawrence was overrated? I’ve been quoted saying many times Trevor Lawrence is NO Justin Fields. Maurer is no Justin Fields either. Shocking huh?

Yes, elevated. They didn’t win much due to defense but look at the 2018 scores in comparison to this year and you’ll see what I mean. He lead that team to the #1 scoring offense in the state with a Swiss cheese o line, 3 receivers 6’0 or under, no running game and a defense that couldn’t stop anyone.

Bailey didn’t have a great line either. Pass rusher was his best pass protector. Phenomenal production that he had nothing to do with...news at 11.
